St.Ives apricot scrub?

I have small belmishes on my face and it tends to get greasy but it can also be sensitive. I wanna purchase st ives apricot scrub today and was wondering if I should get the sensitive on or the one for blemishes? x

St.Ives apricot scrub?
St. Ives makes GREAT products. I've been using the collagen-elastin moisturizer for years and I'd never switch to anything more expensive. Amazing stuff!

I've also used the scrub and its good. It's never a bad idea to exfoliate regularly. If you feel your skin is delicate, definitely start with the sensitive formula. Just be careful using it around your eyes. Little bits of the scrubbing particles can get in there and irritate them. :(

If you don't like it, it is just as effective to use a washcloth. Not the real expensive "velour" kind, either. Just the cheap white ones you can buy in packs by the dozen. They do the job just as well, and never irritate your eyes.
Reply:I think you should go for the sensitive skin because it will be less harsher on the face. You can then use a spot cream afterwards. For a spot treatment i use natural tea tree oil from the body shop. Its very good and natural, so hopefully it has nothing to harm your face.

If you get the original apricot scrub, dont use these everyday, as it exfoliates, its unsuitable for everyday use, no matter what teh bottle says.

Try the St ives cream wash instead for everyday, it still has exfoliate particles -but less.
Reply:I would recommend trying the one for sensitive skin first. also remember other skin tips.....

It's important to take care of your skin as well as take time to relax and let someone else pamper you once in a while. There are many amazing homemade facials for every skin type using ingredients you can find in your kitchen. Reserve time for yourself and make sure you eat healthy, drink plenty of water and get your skin glowing with some of my favorite facial recipes.

My favorites can be found at peacehut.com, a listing of inexpensive organic facial products as well as a link to Homemade Natural Skin Care Tips.

Cleanse, Steam, Massage, Mask, Exfoliate, Tone, Moisturize

Daily Skin Care: use good organic products.

1) Place a steamy towel over your face for a few moments to open your pores. Not too hot.

2) Cleanse with Avalon Hydrating Cleansing Milk, wash off thoroughly

3) With cotton ball, apply Avalon Organics Vitamin C Balancing Facial Toner

4) Apply just a little Avalon Organics Vitamin C Revitalizing Eye Cream around your eyes

5) Massage Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Facial Cream all over your face

6) Finish off with Vitamin C Moisture Plus Lotion with SPF 15 to protect your skin

you are now ready for make-up. I use and recommend natural foundation such as: raw minerals rawnaturalbeauty.com

Exfoliate: If you have sensitive skin, exfoliate once a week. If your skin is oily, exfoliate up to 2x weekly. The top layer of skin forms a protective barrier against the environment. Removing too many cells could increase loss of moisture, cause sensitivity, dryness, %26amp; irritation

Mask: Regular cleansing removes surface dirt, but only a facial mask will actually draw out impurities from beneath top layers of the epidermis. Mask help stimulate blood circulation %26amp; leave your skin smoother and softer and helps exfoliate dead skin cells and unclog pores so toning, hydrating %26amp; protecting products work effectively. Mask after cleansing, but before toning. Generally 1-2x per week for dry skin, 2-3x per week if skin is normal or combination, 3-5x per week for oily skin.
Reply:I also have sensitive skin and the occasional blemish/pimple. I use the skin-clearing, blemish (removes blackheads, exfoliates, etc) one, and it doesn't irritate my skin at all, I love it!
