Apricot Scrub?

Well, I have the St. Ives Apricot scrub, the one with like little rocks in it or something. I noticed it helped acne but does it also affect hair growth? I used it 4 times this week, 4 days, now i realized i shouldn't have used it so much, but then i realize im getting a unibrow and a more hair on top of my upper lip, ( mustache ) Does apricot scrub affect the hair growth? Also how often should i use it? 1 or 2 times a week? thanks

Apricot Scrub?
A 13 y/o boy only needs to exfoliate 1x a week (apricot scrub is an exfoliant). Anymore than that and you risk tearing your delicate skin and washing away your skin's natural oils. Also this isn't the reason for your hair growth. Welcome to puberty~all kinds of crazy stuff will start to happen.
Reply:i use st.ives too, those are the scrub granules. but all scrubs are supposed to be used only 3 times a week.

and fyi, st.ives apricot scrub is great and has absolutely no side effects!
Reply:well i cant use that suff i have very sensitive skin and it does more harm then good for me it makes me brake out infact . i dont think it will increase hair growth though. just use it in the mourning when u wake up and in the shower at night.
Reply:Wow, I've never known a boy to use something like that! I know what you're talking about because I have that now. But I don't know about the hair growth thing! I haven't noticed any new facial hair (thank God!) on me.The only thing I can say is to stop using it. Maybe there is a chemical in it that triggers male hair growth or something.

Good luck!
Reply:No, the scrub doesn't affect the amount of hair that grows on your face. The might be caused by something else.
Reply:I actually keep it in the shower and use it when I shower-so about every other day. It all depends on your own skin and how it reacts actually. Its a good product-I'm not sure about hair growth-never noticed that a bit.
Reply:Well you are getting to the right age where you should be growing hair so I doubt the scrub has anything to do with it. I've used the stuff for years and never noticed extra hair growth.
Reply:should not have any affect on hair growth. it is not a hormonal scrub and even if it had something in it you would have to ingest it. sorry to say but you may just need to deal with puberty and not blame products.
Reply:Not rocks; those are little bits of apricot pit.
Reply:No. Well I used it twice a day and it did not work for me. You might wanna use Murad Products. If you're getting a unibrow then your hair probably grows fast on your face.
Reply:I love that stuff! Works great, but I have no Idea about hair growth. I use it once daily.
Reply:Your a boy and use apricot scrub? =D

Never mind.... use bath and body works. It's so much better, and more... gentle to the skin.

Reply:Hair growth like that only comes from heavy enviromental sources, like a toxin in your city's air, or something ingested internally like water or medication. Have you asked your doctor about it? They can help you pinpoint the cause, and they may ask about meds - hair growth is a common side effect of many medications, so check the interactions %26amp; warnings of any you're taking. As for the scrub, they make a daily scrub and a weekly scrub, and if you're using it when they say it shouldn't be a problem. I used to use the daily scrub morning and night, but found that that was too much for me so I cut down to just once daily, and some recommend alternating cleansers/scrubs for your skin, although if you find the right product it's not necessary. It's all in the balance, I would say try different things and be patient, and in the meantime make an appointment with a doctor, your GP will do, no need to talk to a dermatologist unless they recommend one specifically.

hope this helps, good luck!
Reply:It is an exfoliant, so maybe 3 times a week. It might dry your face out. Dont know about the hair issue, dont have much facial hair.
Reply:you can use everyday, does not affect hair growth.
Reply:I use the apricot scrub 2-3x a week. It doesnt affect my facial hair.. Maybe you just have to tweeze it?
