How can i get beautiful skin and fast?

i want my face to look gorgeous. i dont have acne, but i get a few blemishes here and there. how do i get that beautiful skin like the girls on tv. i use "st. ives apricot scrub" EVERY day. its alright.. but like i said, i want my face to be more.... CLEAR, and smooth. any help? how long would it take to get my skin lookin perfect? and what should i use.. i know i dont need PROACTIVE... again, i dont have acne.

How can i get beautiful skin and fast?
the girls on TV got tons of makeup on.

eat healthy, exercise and drink allot of water.

It works for me, and my mother tells me I've got the most beautiful skin in the world!
Reply:DRINK AT LEAST TWO LITRES OF WATER A DAY AND USE ONLY UNPERFUMED AND UNCOLURED SKINCARE PRODUCTS.. THE GIRLS ON TELLY ARE USUALLY CHOSEN FOR THEIR FANTASTIC SKIN AND NOT ALL OF US ARE THAT LUCKY INCLUDING ME !! GOOD LUCK AND TAKE CARE
Reply:oil olay is very good makes ur skin soft as babys butt yes the tv females wear make up
Reply:drinks 8 glass of water a day and drink cucumber jus twice a week or more.
Reply:the gals on tv a set up with lots of makeup and lights if you drink lots of water everyday and wash tiyr face well 2 times a day very wasrm water you should see some results in bout week
Reply:drink lots of water, wash your face morning and night, use a good moisterizer, and remember, nobody has perfect skin, or perfect anything else. you are already pretty so be happy you don't have acne, you are already blessed!
Reply:water water and more water and go to the dermatologist..they have a pill now that you take for two weeks and it gets rid of all ure blemishes permanently

my bf is taking it right now..u can get it from the dermatologist..just tell them u want it
Reply:You have to remember that the people that you see on TV does not have perfect skin either, those pictures that you see are all buffed and all made up. You would be amazed at the kind of skin you can get for the right amount of money. But its all fake, everyone gets blemishes once and a while, so dont stress over it, its not like you have a face full of pimples.
Reply:not everything you see on tv is real. those girls put on loads of make-up. if not, they use photoshop. they just look perfect so that you'll buy what they're selling to have a perfect face. don't be fooled by them.

Will these combinations help in fading my stretch marks?

I will use apricot scrub daily after bath then massage cocoa butter in the morning then apply alpha hydroxy acid cream (aha cream) in the evening. Take vitamin c everyday and drink lots of water.

Will these have great result to improve my stretch marks? pls. help me.

Will these combinations help in fading my stretch marks?
I've heard that cocoa butter doesn't really help.. but i think it depends on how old your scars are. Try using Emu Oil. I've heard it works great.
Reply:Taking skin vitamins will help, or so I've heard. I use cocoa butter and it seemed to help on the ones I had from when I was really fat. I tan (but, I don't recommend it, skin cancer is never fun) and it hides them really well.

Also, there is a skin cream I heard of called Trilastin that supposedly works really well.

Which is the most effective exfoliant?

I've been using St. Ives apricot scrub for a few years now, and my skin looks great. However, I've also seen ads for home microdermabrasion systems and various products with either retinol or alpha hydroxy acids. Do all of these products pretty much produce the same results, or are some exfoliants better than others? Explain.

Which is the most effective exfoliant?
St. Ives and any other exfoliant with "grains" are mechanical, meaning they need to be rubbed in. They do have good results. for more drastic results you would go with a chemical exfoliant, which does not require rubbing. (this would be retinol, any alpha hydroxy etc.), these would not be used as often as a mechaincal which can be used every day. BE careful with chemicals though if you have sensitive skin. Be sure and ask a professional before you use any of them.

hope that helped!
Reply:i use st. ives apricot scrub too. it works great. basically, all exfoliants have the same effect. the key lies in actually selecting the right one. over exfoliation is very harmful and can ruin you skin, and so can exfoliating creams that have harsh chemicals. so if you know that st. ives works for you, stick to it.
Reply:you're fine with st. ives apricot scrub.

Good exfoliant for my skin (face) - and don't say St. Ives Apricot, I dont like that one?

I like the products from Avon. I buy them online. Anew is a great line of facial care. You can get free shipping sometimes, that's the time to stock up!

Noxema moisturizer. It works wonders for your skin.
Reply:Avon clear skin - It is awesome!
Reply:Avon Clearskin ..... it's a scrub, and I think it's meant for teenagers, but WOW ! makes your skin feel brand new, and gets rid of problems fast ! it's blue and thick...I add a few drops of water to it in the palm of my hand.
Reply:try the Almay products they worked for me.
Reply:If you go to the Body shop theres alot of good things there or If you know someone who is a Avon cosmetics represtenter than ask them or sign up to Avon but I don't know how to do it
Reply:Crabtree %26amp; Evelyn exfoliating cleanser....100ml it costs £15, also available online
Reply:I use the equate. Best exfoliant for the money. I have sensitive skin and a lot of the other products make me break out. The equate does not and it is very inexpensive.

What would be a good wine or liquor to serve with an Asian/Chinease dinner?

Im serving apricot glazed chicken with egg fried rice.

What would be a good wine or liquor to serve with an Asian/Chinease dinner?
Sake (酒; pronounced IPA: /sɑ.k?/ "SAH-KAY" in Japanese) is a Japanese alcoholic beverage, brewed from rice. It is often referred to as rice wine.

Reply:woodbridge white zinfandell by robert mondavi, a chardonnay also goes nicely with most chicken dishes.
Reply:don't serve it with sake, that's aweful!

how about a nice deep red wine, especially with the apricot chicken (that sounds awesome, give the recipe please!!)

or if you like beer, it can often be a good combo to have a nice low alcohol beer with chinese, because it will quench your thirst (rather than wine)

i have to say that i always prefer going with a red wine. personal preference.

enjoy your evening ;-)
Reply:Any white wine that's not too sweet, a Chardonnay or a light German wine like "Blue Nun"
Reply:my personal favorite is Plum Wine. It can be found in any liquor store...usual brands would be Takara or Choya. Plum Wine is also called Ume-shu. Ume-shu is made of green ume plums and white liquor called shochu (alcohol content of about 35%). Ume plum contains potassium and calcium, so ume-shu is said to be good for health. It is also sweet and delicious.

You can serve it the following ways:

1. on the rocks

2. 1 part plum wine 2 parts tonic water

3. 1 part plum wine 2 parts seltzer water

4. 1 part plum wine 2 parts hot water (non-carbonated)
Reply:A good gewurtztraminer is really nice with Chinese food. You can find it at any liquor store with a good wine selection.

  • How can I clear up my skin?

My skin gets blemishes frequently, and is slightly oily. It also has small bumps that are like tiny blemishes along my nose. I only have this acne on my face, not my back or chest. I have tried a variety of lotions and creams such as Olay, St. Ives Apricot Scrub and Clean and Clear. I don't want to have to pay too much, but I will pay a reasonable amount if I have to. (under $30.00 please). I have heard that tea tree oil helps - is this true?

    Thank you.

    XOXO,

    Laurie

How can I clear up my skin?
I think that one of the best solutions is to very carefully wash your face twice daily, with a mild facial cleanser suited for oily skin. Also, try not to touch your face too often - the natural oil on your fingers will sometimes irritate the skin on your face. Another thing - if the blemishes occur where your bangs fall (if you have bangs), you may want to clip them back or use a headband. One more - if you use foundation, get one that's not oil-based. TERRIBLE for most all skin types and the worst pore-clogger there is.

    Hope all this is helpful!

    Regards,

    Blaire
Reply:dermalogica is a great line of skincare products that may help but it is over 30.00 dollars for most of the products. also get clean and clear acne spot treatment for clearing up asap and the clean and clear oil absorbing sheets for the oil
Reply:See a dermatologist they have a variety of products they can recommend to you both prescription and non-prescription to help. Some good ones are Differin and Retin-A. Also some simple face washes they can recommend do wonders. Don't wait for it to get worse or spend your $ on something that doesn't work. Also using too many different products at once can actually make things worse, watch out for that too.
Reply:Try Serious Skin Care you can find it on the web. Your face is worth looking after. You take care of your skin it will take care of you later in life.
Reply:Pro-Activ should help, i use it.
Reply:Why don't you try using a acne foam wash from neutragena?

Or what about Proactive it cost $20. Also try not to eat oily or fatty foods like french fries or chocolate and stuff like that it is real bad for the face. Good luck hope this helps! :)
Reply:pro-activ, and clean%26amp;clear stuff. you should also try to clean ur face everyday and everynight and get a shower DAILY!

Reply:By continuing to use so many products under 30.00 you are actually spending more money than if you get the right product from the get go. Search Bee Luscious Cosmetics and get the products in the medicated acne skin care line they are all incredible and you will SEE RESULTS immediately , yes they are a little more expensive but high quality and results is well worth the investment.
Reply:I tried alot of different products, including the ones you mentioned, before I found one that really worked. Neutrogena is really good but if your skin is only slightly oily it will tend to dry your skin out a little too much, which is what happened to me.

I recommend Aveeno Clear Complexion line of products that is wonderful. It contains soy and salycilic acid (for acne) and is very gentle on your skin. It cleared up my acne and worked wonders on my skin. I use the foaming wash and then the moisturizer, which is the first one I've ever found that doesn't break out my skin. It's not that expensive and you can find it at most drugstores like Walgreens and stores like Walmart too.

Check it out on the Aveeno website.
Reply:i use nutrogena and it serioulsy works. its a cheaper version of proactive, but i've used both and nutrogena works 10 times better than proactive. you can get it for $19.99 at rite aid or walmart.

    hope this helps!!!
    Reply:try sperm seriously

or proactive that works well too
Reply:Try not putting anything but PLAIN WATER on your face ... not even SOAP. I had acne when I was a teenager, and I stopped using anything but water ... and except for rare 'masks' I still wash my face with ONLY WATER, and I'm 56, and look better than most 40 year old women do. Just use water that is 'as hot as you can stand' and a good, 'rough' wash cloth and SCRUB, then rinse it three times, with warm, cool, and finally cold water ... and do this 'washing' three to five times a day (depends on if you wear make-up or not. Even if you use a 'make-up remover' that can leave 'oils' on your face, and your pores will be 'open' so the 'dirt' can get in ... by scrubbing with the hot water, you are removing the dirt ... the three succesively cooler rinses are to get your pores back to their 'smallest' size, so the dirt can't get in as well. GOOD LUCK. But hey ... water is really 'cheap' compared to something you have to buy from a store!
Reply:Acne can have many irritants, it's hard to recommend treatments. Things to consider:

Retin-A works really well but requires a prescription. You probably don't need a dermatologist, your regular doctor can also get you a prescription for it.

Some foods can aggravate acne. Fried, oily foods, possibly chocolate.

Makeups and facial creams can possibly aggravate it.

Many over-the-counter products can help if you can reduce the irritants.

Can anyone identify this fruit? Orange with 2/3 large brown stones. Firm, juicy and sweet looks like apricot?

The fruit appears to be from turkey and the middle east and appears in grocers during the summer season. Same size, colour and firmness as an apricot with thin skin which you peal off to eat it. The skin and flesh are orange. The large brown stones are a bit like apple pips but 10 times the size and wet and slippery.

The fruit is very juicy but firm and quenches your thirst in the summer - very satifying similar way to water melon. You can find yourself eating loads of them. At the same time it's a bit tarte like apples/oranges but only a bit.

The skin texture is similar to mango but I assume that people would not think of using mango as a comparison as the fruit mostly resembles a juicy version of an apricot. Mangos are eaten in the same way by pealing the thin skin.

What is this fruit called - I think it has many names depending where you come from?

Loquat! We had a loquat tree in our garden when I was a kid, and the fruit was delicious every year...amazingly, nobody in the family or neighborhood could come up with ways to make anything of them [jams, jellies, tarts, etc.] so we just picked them and ate them out of hand. We didn't peel them, just scarfed them down like apricots. Wherever in the far/middle/near east the ones you've found at grocers come from to wherever you are, sound like a vastly improved version that have been cross-bred or hybridized to produce larger fancier fruit to sell.. we never even sprayed or pruned or did anything to our loquat tree...just let it do its thing in our garden and shared out the goodies every year.

Reply:The cheapest place to get it and the place with the best selection of their products is probably a Wal-Mart, K-Mart, or Target. Most drug stores should carry it, but it tends to be more expensive there incase they have it on sale. Alot of grocery stores also carry it. I know our Ingles carries a couple of their products. If you can't find it around town, try an online drugstore website to buy it.

    NOUN:

    pl. fruit or fruits

1: The ripened ovary or ovaries of a seed-bearing plant, together with accessory parts, containing the seeds and occurring in a wide variety of forms.

2: An edible, usually sweet and fleshy form of such a structure.

3: A part or an amount of such a plant product, served as food: fruit for dessert.

    nut

    NOUN:

1: An indehiscent, hard-shelled, one-loculated, one-seeded fruit, such as an acorn or hazelnut.

2: A seed borne within a fruit having a hard shell, as in the peanut, almond, or walnut.
Reply:An apricot is a small sweet fruit with a golden orange color. A ripe apricot can be recognized by its fairly firm skin, and it will be plump and juicy when it is at its best. The apricot has a delicate aroma and is an excellent source of Vitamins A (beta-carotene) and C. Apricots are also a good source of iron, potassium, phosphorus and calcium.

yeah it cleans your face really well and gets rid of blackheads. I have only tryed one othere one other that the apricot but idk what it was called it was in a green tube. but i like the apricot the best
Reply:Oh yes, St. Ives Apricot Scrub...I praise it! It works the best for exfoliation! And it was rated the top facial scrub on the market and many dermatologists recommend it! At first, I never really liked the little sharp bits against my skin, but after I rinsed my face with cold water and felt it, it was baby butt fresh ^^ Smooth and silky! Never thought I'd feel that anytime soon! And it is an affordable price! Better than Clean and Clear and Neutrogena actually!
Reply:There are so many people that swear by it, but it really didnt make a difference in my skin, except it made it more red because it was too abrasive. I like using it as a scrub in the shower though-- it works super well that way!

    Thanks!

Is Saint Ive's Apricot Scrub Good?
i use it all the time and i can really tell a difference when i dont use it for a few days.

it does make my skin look better

but i dont think it's not meant to remove scars or anything like that

you should start seeing results the day you use it
Reply:i have been using it for years its good to clean the skin with but hasnt got rid of acne scars and am not sure it will lighten the skin
Reply:it cleans the skin and gets rid of dead skin on the surace which i guess could make it lighter

but it doesnt get rid of acne scars

but i think its a good scrub. :]
Reply:don't waste your money. all scrubs are the same and achieve to do the same thing. yogourt and milk do a wonderful job of exfoliating and lightening the skin because they contain lactic acid (a natural exfoliant) lemon/lime can also do the same, and none of these harm the skin.

Often the large retailers like Walmart carry them. If not, you can put in a special request with the Produce Manager. They may be more expensive out of season, but if they've got a customer, may order them for you.

Ewww...what is this thing in my "Pyramid apricot weizen beer" ????????????? it looks like snot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's the wheat. Hefeweizens are brewed with wheat and some of it will remain in the beer and then sit at the bottom after it is bottled or kegged. After awhile it will congeal a little. It's harmless, you can stir it up or take it out with a spoon or napkin.
Reply:sorry i blew buggers in your drink when u wasent lookin
Reply:Any good wheat beer will be unfiltered. It is not wheat like some people think, it is the yeast used for fermentation. It settles to the bottom of the bottle. Anyone who truly appreciates this style of beer will pour slowly down the side of the glass to start, than move the pour to the center to areate the beer. Stop with about half inch on the bottom, swirl the bottle and pour it in. Perfect. Not only does it add flavor it is a good source of b vitamins. Toss in a slice of lemon, or an orange slice, whatever you like best, than sit back and enjoy.

Are apricots a good snack to eat before running?

I am looking for quick snacks to grab right before doing my morning run.

I would way apricots and a good protien snack like almonds. YOu could also drink a small protein shake with the apricots on the side.

Reply:Dried apricots ARE a simple, good handy snack!

They are one of the best natural sources of Vitamin A, especially when dried. Essential for healthy skin and mucous membranes. Vitamin A is also needed for good sight; insufficient amounts can cause night blindness, impair sight and increase susceptibility to colds and other illnesses. Although it is one of the few vitamins which we can theoretically build up to toxic levels, this doesn't normally happen if it is taken naturally.

every other night i use the Loreal Peel kit.

As makeup goes i use very little.

What do you think of my Skin Care Routine?
depends on your skin type.. sounds pretty good though. i'd just make sure to find a good sunscreen before your skin starts wrinkling at an early age. and also, be careful with the loreal peel kit.. it can be really drying for your skin and cause flakes. if your skin doesn't appear to be having any problems though, i'd say you're doing a good job :]
Reply:I think you use the apricot scrub too often. You should use a facewash morning and night daily and then once or twice a week the scrub as needed.

St Ives Apricot for sensative skin?
If you have sensitive skin it is probably too abrasive. I recomment Principal Secrets scrub because hers is the smoothest one out there! I have tried countless. Hers does not scratch at all! Can buy online or through QVC

I use a moisturizer afterwards and I'm good to go.

Start out with the radiance and see how you like it. It's a cream cleanser and still has the exfoliating beads but not as many. They also have specific products for sensitive skin.

Are the fruits in lebanon tasting good or bomby?

Why the fruits dont have the same taste as in my country?
    Good question.....

I have thought the same many times.

My country is small too and not big distances to cover transporting the fruits, but they dont taste same as lebanese ones.

May be it is bcoz they keep them in that huge freezers.
Reply:Well , over here we have to send fruit %26amp; vegetables long distances...also , the best of our crops are exported %26amp; we end up getting the leftovers !

Quite often produce is picked green , ripened artificially to suit marketing %26amp; kept in cold storage for months ...it's a wonder that there's any taste at all !

From what I could see in Lebanon , produce is still being produced without an excess of chemical additives to the soil , transported to market daily %26amp; picked in season ...vive la differance !
Reply:They are probably picked when they aren't quite ripe so that they will travel better, but don't taste as good. The same thing happens in the United States. Fresh, tree ripened peaches in Washington state are delicious, but the ones that get shipped two thousand miles to Ohio are hard as rocks.

4 days for me. It was an act of God when the 'big-one' hit and saved me. I went to church for two whole weeks (a fortnight) as a gesture of thanks. Dried apricots are my friends.

fruits taste better organic so if it travels long distance it probably isnt as natrual as something bought from ur neighborhood fruit stand
Reply:I understand completely. I grew up picking fruit from backyard orchard and it was delicious. Nowadays, chemicals, cool room storage, picking fruit before it is ready, leaves it tasteless. Try and buy fruit that is in season. I feel today we have great expectations and expect to buy all fruits all year round, this is not natural.

How is it that open air produce stores do not attract very many insects?
And according to my calculations the sum of the square root of the gallons of insect repellant times the number of square acres squared must be greater than the number of fruit flies plust the number of dung beetles to the third power, all over two times the number of acres squared.

  • How can I remove a black caviar stain from my chiffon dress? Dry-cleaning didn't help.?

I had a small egg or two on my thumb, wiped it on the linen napkin on my lap, which was folded double, picked up the napkin later, and found the oil from the broken eggs had leaked through both layers of the napkin to stain my apricot-colored chiffon dress. Please help!!

How can I remove a black caviar stain from my chiffon dress? Dry-cleaning didn't help.?
try putting some baking soda over the stain it might lift the oil from the stain. Then gently spot clean the area with a little bit of palmolive dishwashing detergent in warm water. If might take a couple of tries but it should remove it. If the dress cant be worn anyway and you have nothing to lose try wd40 on the stain and then rinse with palmolive dishwashing detergent. It might save the dress. Good luck!!

Then I stopped torturing my face and just wash my face with water. and only using a makeup remover when I have on makeup. My skin has been so much better ever since.

DON'T squeeze it though, that will just make it worse, believe me, temptation has gotten the best of me a couple of times.

I am confused!.. Can someone please give me some ideas for which colour carpet I should get??

    Please help!

    Thank you... :)

I am confused!.. Can someone please give me some ideas for which colour carpet I should get??
I think you should get a browny-red coloured carpet, it compliments your furniture and your walls :)
Reply:Take a paint sample to the carpet store and match to your likings.
Reply:If you really want to have one of those "stylish" rooms off of the Home and Garden Chanel, then I suggest an aqua/light blue color carpeting. It will compliment the brown and the apricot. DO NOT GET RED. It will not match. The brown will make it very hard on the eyes. Maybe a nice Off White color carpet, apricot would be nice too since that's the color of the room. OR maybe a tan color.

I hope you find a color suitable for your carpet.
Reply:basic rule is you want to keep the color neutral so your furniture is taking central stage in the room. the other thing is if it's a high traffic area of your house in question will determine which type of carpet will be better suited for it's use. I would go with a berber carpet with different strand of neutral color close to the color of your walls and furniture. this type is easy to maintain or repair and excellent for high traffic area. Hope it helps.
Reply:Carpet can be different from the rest of the decor.

It can be overpowering if it is ver bright or clean( you know like pure colour as in a rainbow.)

Many people like ver dark grey graphite black, but they show up all kinds of white lint and stuff that you never knew was there. Impossible to keep looking good without vacuuming all the time- reduces the life of the carpet.

    Mid strength generally is best

Broken colour is better than a plain self colour.

    A plush has a shorter ,smart-life.

Berbers take a lot of damage and are cheaper.

Ah the short answer is Taupe.

    Looks great with everything.

    Otherwise think dirt, best colour

A carpet is as clean as it is.

White would look dirty, Black would look linty and good old Donkey looks smart as chips!

    Stay away from pinks.

Purpley blues or Browny greens look fine, Bluey grey even. Just make sure you get one that is describable with a 2 colour name.

    Taupe!

Has anyone tried the St. ives Apricot blemish/blackhead control scrub?
its good for exfoliating the dead skin, plus it has the blemish fighting ingerdients. it works for a every other day scrub.

Don't use it too much, you can't scrub the blemishes away tho. It would irritate your skin if you used it daily.

Personally, I love it. Use it in moderation and have a good after lotion, like "acne free blemish terminator" That's pretty much my routine and the combo works.

if you use it too much, it'll increase your skins oil production, and lead to more blemishes. Moderation hon.

Maybe she is changing color? My dog was apricot color for the first of his life, and then turned white, which came along with a black (purple) skin. However, I'm not a vet so I don't know what it is, but you should take her ASAP.

Reply:Don't listen to anyone who says it is internal bleeding or a sign of death- your dog is in no discomfort, so this can't be true.

It could be a reaction to an insecticide or something that was sprayed on the lawn, but it seems like it is an external reaction.

I'd get it checked out (sooner rather than later), but it doesn't look like any kind of immediate danger.

If it has come on slowly, not suddenly, it could just be a natural change in skin tone, since the puppy is so young.

You're a good puppy mother for asking- keep up the good work!

How rare is a 'three face apricot'?

    it is just awful

How rare is a 'three face apricot'?
I imagine it must be pretty rare, like a four-leaf clover. But such mutations (loss of normal symmetry) apparently do happen in plants. In animals, I think there is some mechanism at work preventing loss of symmetry. Even with lobsters, a very rare one will sometimes be found that is blue one one side and green on the other. But as far as I know, nobody yet had observed an animal with trilateral symmetry.

Even the (extremely) rare cases of infants being born with three arms or three legs are cases of conjoined twins, where on embryo starts to absorb the other in the womb, and not a case where a single embryo grows an extra arm or leg.

You might want to donate your apricot to a molecular biologist who might be able to clone it and isolate the gene defect that causes it. Future generations may have you to thank for giving them a hand!

Reply:Yes, I have used it but I wouldn't use it everyday because it is a little harsh. Maybe 2-3 times a week - it makes your face feel really refreshed and your skin nice and soft. A great face cleanser for everyday is Cetaphil - available at walmart, target m etc. It is very mild and makes your skin sooooo soft. Good luck!!
Reply:I've used it and I've found that it isn't the right product for me. It aggravates my acne. I think it's breaking them open and spreading the bacteria around or something. I stopped using it and switched to something mild and my skin cleared up.

So I guess it depends upon what kind of skin you've got as to what results you'll get.
Reply:yeah i use it sometimes to make my skin more soft and nice to touch. only use it for once a week though, cause it can be quite abrasive to the skin. if you have acne or pimples i dont reccoment using it, as it may cause u to break out even more.
Reply:Ahhh, I love that stuff , I haven't used it in awhile, kinda forgot about it until I saw you question, I think I'll go get some again, it just makes your skin really soft by scrubbing off the old skin.
Reply:it works-but dont expect quick results it takes a LONG time. iwouldnt reccommend it if you have severe acne because the scrub might spread the bacteria
Reply:yeah it works and refreshes but its kinda harsh on sensitive skin, dont press it onto your skin very hard, and dont go of sensitive areas
Reply:It makes your skin nice and smooth but I think it should be used once a week or depending on your skin type.
    Reply:i use it every day.

    its makes your skin soft

and doesnt dr it out like

    other cleaners can.
    Reply:it works really good

Can I use st.ives apricot scrub everyday?

It depends on your skin. Some people have no problems with it. But I was taught in cosmetology school that scrub with walnut shells will eventually scratch the surface layer of your skin and cause harm.

Can I use st.ives apricot scrub everyday?
i use it every morning, and its great.

i love the fresh feeling it leaves, and the exfoliation is awesome.
Reply:Yes....Dang I forgot how much I love that stuff....
    Reply:i do. =]
Reply:I use it every day and have no problems!
Reply:well for me it worked fine for the first couple of weeks but after that i started peeling from my face specially on my nose. so i would recomend maybe every other day...

i guess it also depends on your type of skin. mine is pretty dry so thats probably why i peeled.

    =]
Reply:In my case, it worked great at first, but after I kept using it for a few months, I noticed my pores were enormous. It also irritated my skin and made it permanently red. Sorry, but I don't think it is the greatest. However, to each her own. I'm suggesting that if it works for you, don't use it everyday.
    Reply:yes that stuff is good...

thx for reminding me i just ran out

    i gt get some more.
Reply:It depends on your skin type dry-no way, but oily-maybe every other day
Reply:yes. my friend uses it everyday and she has great skin.

Has anyone used St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Oily/Acne prone skin? If so how were your results? Did it work?!?

Please only respond if u have used this product!!! Thanks =0

Has anyone used St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Oily/Acne prone skin? If so how were your results? Did it work?!?
I have used the invigorating st ives apricot scrub. It really helped with my acne. The product is not oily and does not have a scent. It is a really good product and the price is good.

Look on drugstore.com's website and makeupalley.com and see what other people have said about the product. There are tons of reviews.
Reply:read tips on treating acne, skincare and home remedies to help you better on this site
Reply:It was horrible. It left my skin slimy.

I like the AcneFree Purifying Cleanser much better, as well as, the Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser.
Reply:It works, but be sure not to use it too often as it'll dry your skin out and still leave the oily glands below. Warm water works better than hot water too, and use a clean waskcloth to thoroughly dry your face after using. I think it is a good product if you keeop it to 2xs a week.
Reply:It made my skin look refreshed but as far as breakouts go, it did not do anything for acne or shine.
Reply:It's effective on the body. Haven't tried it on my face.
Reply:yeah! That stuff works great! It cleans out the pores in your skin, and it feels good. just make sure to use an astringent after wards to close the pores or use cold water rinse to close them, but yeah, that stuff is excellent
Reply:wow i use it everyday. it makes your skin glow and gets rid of that dead skin. works wonders.
Reply:oh hey i have!!! lolz i love that stuff fo reals. st. ives apricot scrub is good. it really does work. wish i could show yea a pick of my face.!! lolz cus its smooth like buttah`behbe!! ... ha`! best results when u in da shower %26amp; da skin moisten. and washing it off with good soap like dove, and putting some kind of cream over.
Reply:it helped get rid of dead skin cells but didn't help with my acne at all. but i may be an exception to the rule.

  • Which comes first : St. Ives apricot scrub for blackheads and blemish control, or Noxema cleanse?

Always start with your cleanser, then go from there. By removing the dirt, oil, makeup, and other debris, it let's your other skin care products do their job. Also, don't forget to moisturize! Spf 15 in daytime is the best tip I can give ya!

Which comes first : St. Ives apricot scrub for blackheads and blemish control, or Noxema cleanse?
I use a cleanse then scrub. I love St Ives apricot scrub! And Walmarts brand of Clearasil is awesome!

P.S. I ALWAYS mix.... never had a problem!
Reply:Don't mix 2 different products. they can react against each other.

So either use nozema line or st. ives line.

However the apricot scrub- here's the thing wrong with it. The little scrubbers aren't perfect round which means they have sharp edges which irritate your skin and give you more break outs. I suggest not using a scrub unless you get a more expensive one.

Nozema does work but from my experience with it it cleans your face very well but doesn't have acne fighting ingredients but just cleaning your face with it does help because a clean face keeps zits away. However I used nozema years ago so it might be different now.

AM i Alergic TO APRICOT BRANDI??????

Ive drank brandi before and this had NEVER happened but tonight,I drankApricot Brandi for the first time....and i have red spot EVERYWHERE ...am i alergic??

AM i Alergic TO APRICOT BRANDI??????
Take an allergy medication and see an allergist. This is an allergic reaction, but it might not be to the brandy. You need to get tested for allergies so you can control your exposure to whatever it is you are allergic to. If it is apricot, you have to be very careful eating in restaraunts as there are a lot of sauces and desserts that include apricot.
    Reply:YEA
Reply:try benadrille it may not be apricot,,you maybe allergic to something else, besides apricots,,, if your throught starts to swell go to hospital but if not just benadrille, itching will stop and redness will go away..

Does Saint Ive's Apricot Scrub Work?

Does it really get rid of acne, and even and lighten your complexion?

Does Saint Ive's Apricot Scrub Work?
I have used that product for years. I love how it makes my skin feel so smooth afterwards. It has help keep my facial skin clear, however, I have not noticed any lightening of my complexion.

If you want something to lighten the complexion, I would suggest a product called Ambi.
Reply:I have acne, and I found that Saint Ive's Apricop Scrub didn't help my skin at all , if anything it made my face look worse and dryed out. I dont reccomend this product. If you have really bad acne , maybe you could try ordering in ProActive Solutions , and for a lighter acne (just a few pimples here and there) try Clearasil cleansing cream wash and/or Clearasil deep cleansing pads. They really worked for me.

    Hope I helped :)
Reply:no it wont lighten a skin colour and i dont think it will get rid of acne either only irrate it more try tea tree oil on the acne it is a antibacteral and it helped me with mine as an exfoliater try lightly buffing your face with a clean flannel to remove and dry skin dont rub to hard the use a non oily cream dink pleanty of water if you use a blemishing cream it might work if it is to much then go to your doctor he might be able to provide you with some medicne that might help you cut out all sugar and even dairy can do it to try a herbalist
Reply:Commercially made products are not natural, You need a natural product.

Things to do to help oily face, pimples, blackhead %26amp; the such....

1.) Dont ever pick/pop them... If you must pop them wait till they have a head and use cotton balls. Popping causes the oil %26amp; bacteria to go to near by spots and cause more pimples

2.) Wash your face twice a day.

3.) Do not over wash your face.

4.) Get a natural soap that contains Tea Tree EO. I get mine at:

    http://www.itsyoursoap.com/index.php?mai...

Tea Tree EO kills all the nasty bacterias that causes pimples. A plus this soap doesnt smell girly. Smells like peppermint and cools the skin.

5.) Also get a astringant. But use it only every other day because you do not want to send the oil producing pores into overdrive.

If you follow these things for a few weeks your skin will look great

Just remeber this dry dry skin looks old and worn. You face needs oil to look youthful
Reply:I don't know if it gets rid of acne or even lightens your skin (I would think not) but it does makes my skin texture much smoother after I use it and it allows for better absorption of any cream or moisturizer I use. Try the Proactive products to get rid acne.
Reply:nope it really made my skin dry

You can make apricot cookies.....apricot preserves to pour over ice cream (does not require canning).....apricot smoothies....apricot and pineapple salsa, sounds strange but its SO GOOD!!!!
Reply:Simple. Making jam out of them is a way to get rid of that nasty acidity. Make sure to put lots of sugar though to drown out the sour taste.
Reply:unripe apricots can cause stomach aches. Gather them up and put them in a paper sack or box in a cool dark place until the ripen. Use them just like you would peaches.

  • St. Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish & Blackhead Control??

    i got couple questions.

1.I just have bad complexion and redmarks from previous acne will it clear up my complexion?

2.How many times a week am i suppose to use this thing?

    3. Should i use a CLeanser the this scrub or vice versa?

St. Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish %26amp; Blackhead Control??
it is just a way of removing the dead skin cells on your face and of course, it's medicated so it prevents or fights acne...

you should just use it 2-3 times a week... you could use a cleanser daily, twice daily...

to get rid of your acne marks, apply a (skin) peeling solution at night. dont forget to apply moisturizer after all the solution has been absorbed by your skin.

in the morning, wash your face with warm water and scrub lightly with the apricot scrub or cleanser. pat your skin dry. apply moisturizer so your face wont dry from the peeling solution or from the scrub. if you're going out, be sure to apply sunblock...

this is effective when you use it regularly, i mean,2-3 times a week. be sure you dont scub your face raw with it... just a gentle massage will do. remember, if you have sensitive skin, be gentle with your skin...

    it really works for me.

refrain from applying too much products on your face. a simple regimen of cleanse, tone, moisturize will do... just make sure you have the right product with you...

if you are asian, it's better to use asian products for your face=== coz they are especially formulated for asian skin... why not try korean products? check online or the mall near you for korean facial skin care products... they really work.. (japanese skin care products are great too)
Reply:i actually dont know you're asian, i just included that tip coz i used State side products (ProActiv,Murad, etc...) for my acne but they didnt work... when i tried the korean products, they worked really fine for me... st.ives also has specially formulated editions so it's really great... Report It
Reply:Scrubs and exfoliants can be damaging to the skin if you use it too often. using products like this varies from person to I use the product that you are talking about and I have to use it every 10 to 14 days. That works for me I would suggest that you see a doctor first about your skin.
Reply:i use the st ives scrub for sensitive/dry skin and i use it once daily, and my skin is really smooth if you have normal skin then that should be ok the one you are talking about. when i first started using it it started working in the first couple of days as i had some nasty looking spot's, using st ives is meant to be really good for your skin because it's made with a special switzerland formula. there is no harm in trying it for a couple of days to see how it goes. good luck. x

Does anyone know of Apricot toy poodle breeders (poodle breeders) in Scotland?

My mum and dad just lost their beloved apricot toy poodle and miss her very much. My mum is 76 and my dad will be 80 in May. The little dog gave them a reason to go out walking and to keep active. They also enjoyed the interaction with people they met on their walks, who stopped to admire and say how well behaved/friendly and cute their little dog was. They seem lost without her. I intended to buy my dad a new puppy for his birthday (or around the time of his birthday if possible), which i know will not replace their little dog but would be loved just as much but after searching the web i have been unable to locate any breeders in Scotland. There are a couple i found in the south of England which is 100s of miles away and makes it very difficult for me to view/collect a puppy. I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions. Thanking you in anticipation.

Reply:I agree with what someone else mentioned, you should really have them adopt an older dog. I highly doubt they have the energy to chase around a puppy and train it, not to mention that puppy could very well live for 20 years, and your parents are, sadly, in their twilight years. It's important to plan for an animal's entire life before you bring it into your family. I'm not sure a reputable breeder would even agree to sell you a pup knowing that it is intended for seniors. Why not let them spend their golden years with a dog that is in the same place they are? Plenty of homeless dogs need a quiet loving home to finish out their days.
Reply:Have you considered going to a local animal shelter and asking if they will do a gift certificate? Sounds weird but the shelter I used to work at would do that.

I'm sure your parents would prefer to choose their own dog.
Reply:Have you tried champdogs website? They have a list of breeders. Also try epupz and the kennel club has a list of breeders. Also try the Poodle bred clubs as they often know who has a litter or has one planned.
Reply:I would suggest that you consider adopting an older dog in need of a home. And make sure that your parents want a dog! It would be lovely to take them to a shelter and let them pick out any dog they wanted, with you footing the bill. Be aware that your parents are getting on in age, and may not be able to fully care for the dog for its entire life. See if your shelter has a "senior dogs for seniors" program.

I have fungus on my apricot tree!?

On my apricot tree, which a pretty big and a decent age, a few of the brancdes had absolutly no growth, while all the other had tons of leaves and new fruit. When I put my hand to the branch, and gave the slightest tug, the whole branch tumbled off. Looking closer, I realized that there was a fungus on the branch, that was smooth and white on one side, with lines like there are on the underside of a mushroom on the other side. I have looked on line, trying to find out what this fungus (i am betting it is a fungus, seeing as it looks a bit like a mushroom) is, but to no avail. If you could tell me what the fungus is called, that would be great, and possibly a link to a website that talks about it would be great! Thanks!

I have fungus on my apricot tree!?
No need to call your agricultural extension agent. What you are seeing are called "Conks". They are in fact the fruiting bodies of a fungus that is feeding on the dead branch. The conks did not cause the branch to die off and are only "secondary" to the fact. They live off of dead rotting wood, the same as the mushrooms you find on the soil in your yard, which are also the fruiting bodies of the mycelium which is underground. There are many shapes and sizes of conks, many are quite colorful to say the least. Your branch either succumbed to a "boring" type of insect or a disease and the conks appeared after the fact. When conks are present, you can pretty well bet that the tree is suffering from disease. Here is a couple of links for you to check out.... Hope this answers your question...

Reply:Kinda depends on a few things. Where are you living? If you had a picture, that would be of great help too... it's hard to id a fungus simply from that description- sorry.
Reply:This is an old indian method for curing fungus on fruit trees,it works. If you hunt or know someone who does and they or you happen to shoot a buck, they have glands on there hind legs called tarsal glands, cut these out and mix in a pail with water, brush it on the infected area of the tree.If you do that in the morning that following day the fungus will be gone,it may not save those branches that are already too damaged, but it will improve the overall health of the tree by killing off the remaining fungus, good luck
Reply:I do not know anything about apricot trees but have a lot of other kinds on my ranch.

Best way to get help is call your local agricultural extension they should help you. Google for your state agricultural department should at least be a 800# or 411

Reply:Go to CVS and find the brand called "Alba". Then look for the pine-ish green colored bottels, this is the "Sea" line.

Pick up a bottle of the "Sea Scrub". It is AMAZING!

I have noticed that for oily skin Sea things really help because the ingredients are really from the sea and the sea has a lot of bacteria fighting things. Ever notice that when spending time at the beach your skin looks nicer?

I also had a friend who had HORRBILE acne and then she started doing to the beach to splash the ocean water on her face. She would leave it there for about an hour, then shower it off. It really helped her skin!

How do I make the baked stuffing for Thanksgiving?

I have only made the stove top stuffing...

I want to make one of those baked stuffing things like at Thanksgiving WITHOUT all the wierd stuff... like apricots and nuts (eewwwies)... just celery I think... and other stuff... spices and what not... HOW DO I MAKE ONE!!

How do I make the baked stuffing for Thanksgiving?
When I was a kid, like about 12, I got enlisted with the Thanksgiving chores and that included making the dressing/stuffing. Our bird was always stuffed and dressed and there was enough to have dressing baked in a dish on the side. Get day old bread from the bakery or just use regular loaf bread, we just used whatever was there - we ALWAYS have bread. Rip it up in a BIG bowl, probably a whole loaf or more, you have to just use your judgment on this one. You will be able to add more later if you need to, so don't worry about it. You need a stick of butter (melted) and a roll of Sage Sausage (I like Jimmy Dean), celery between 2 and 4 stalks, cut up into small pieces, a large whole onion cut up into small pieces, you also need a good couple pinches of salt, some pepper and stock (either vegetable or turkey or chicken or water and a couple bullion cubes) - again with the liquid, you just have to use your judgment on this one, you don't want it soggy, but you don't want it dry either. Put all of this in the bowl. You want everything to be moist and fully incorporated together, so that when its baked for 3-5 hours, the final product will be just nice, not sopping wet and not dried out, burnt and gross. As for herbs, I like to use Italian herbs, with the addition of sage and celery salt. Okay now, pull your sleeves way up, past your elbows and dig in, squeezing the sausage and bread and veggies all together, until its completely mixed and uniform. This is everything that goes in the stuffing (maybe a little Veggie and/or Poultry Magic too)

Now for the Mr. Birdie, take pats of butter (probably a whole stick worth of cold butter cut into pieces) and put it between his skin and meat, after you have washed and dried him, season his insides and then stuff him up good. Now put his legs back together, and stuff his neck, then dress between his legs and breasts (this sounds like soft porn, LOL). Rub him up good with some olive oil and season his skin really well, (I like Paul Prodhomme Magic Seasonings, for this I use Poultry Magic, its a little pricey and kinda hard to find -KMart, but its well worth it) then stick him in an oven bag that you have put a few tablespoons of flour in the bottom (all over) and put his big butt in there and then pour some broth or other liquid in the bag and fasten it, and poke 6 holes in the top and get him baking! My birds are usually moist and tender, just make sure you don't under bake it (eww) or over bake it (dry). Make gravy out of the pan dripping when done, its super easy, just put the dripping in a skillet and add a few tablespoons of flour, stirring constantly (I use a whisp for this so that its not lumpy and the flour is fully mixed in, season to taste and brown nicely, cook at a full boil for at least a minute to get the flour flavor out), I usually supplement the gravy with store bought, because there would never be enough.

If you get everything all mixed up and its too mushy, add some more bread, one piece at a time, until it feels right.

    Most importantly, enjoy your holiday.

PS I boil the neck and giblets and season them, the neck usually goes in the garbage and my husband and dad either share the giblets or one eats them. They (the giblets) do not touch my stuffing!
Reply:what ya do is get your turkey seasoned well and put it in a pan with a can of chicken broth and get it kicking at 325 for 3 and a half hours.

While you are waiting you then chop some onion and bell pepper, celery, green onions.and you need to make some cornbread. Make 8 jiffy corn breads for this. boil a dozen eggs. Hay it is thanksgiving. boil the innards.Tip: I toss in a whole pack of turkey necks to the giblets.

When the turkey is done you remove it and let it rest. You add them onions/and all in the bottom of the roaster pan.add chopped boiled eggs add chopped innards, add the broth from the innards, add the corn bread crumbled stirring constantly, add some raw eggs too. Add about 4 tablespoons rubbed sage and add some salt pepper cayenne tobasco whatever.stir it all well and put that back to baking. Carve the bird and add the pieces back on to the dressing and serve it when ready.
Reply:These are kind of fun... if you want turkey in it just make it the same way and add turkey.

    Stuffin Muffins

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, 2 turns of the pan

    1 stick butter, softened

1 fresh bay leaf, available in produce department

4 ribs celery and greens, from the heart, chopped (save time and purchase celery already washed, trimmed and cut into sticks, this makes chopping fast work)

1 medium to large yellow skinned onion, chopped

3 McIntosh apples, quartered and chopped

    Salt and pepper

    2 tablespoons poultry seasoning

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves

8 cups cubed stuffing mix (recommended: Pepperidge Farm)

2 to 3 cups chicken stock, available in paper containers on the soup aisle

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Preheat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add extra-virgin olive oil to skillet and 4 tablespoons butter. When butter melts, add bay leaf and add the vegetables as you chop them, celery, onions then apples. Sprinkle the vegetables and apples with salt, pepper and poultry seasoning. Cook 5 to 6 minutes to begin to soften vegetables and apples then add parsley and stuffing cubes to the pan and combine. Moisten the stuffing with chicken broth until all of the bread is soft but not wet.

Butter 12 muffin cups, 2 tins, liberally with remaining butter. Use an ice cream scoop to fill and mound up the stuffing in muffin tins. Remove the bay leaf as you scoop the stuffing when you come upon it. Bake until set and crisp on top, 10 to 15 minutes. Remove stuffin' muffins to a platter and serve hot or room temperature.

    Ingredients

    2 lb Good quality bread

    -cut in 1/2 inch cubes

    2 lb Poached chicken thighs

    1/2 c Minced fresh parsley

    3/4 c Chopped onions

    1 c Chopped celery

    1 c Shredded carrot

    1 1/4 c Fine.chopped boiled potatoes

    1 tb Rubbed sage

    1 tb Celery seed

    1 ts Dried thyme

    1/2 ts Black pepper

    1/2 tb Turmeric

    5 Eggs

    12 oz Evaporated milk

    2 1/2 c Homemade Chicken Broth

    -=OR=- canned broth

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 F. On 2 cookie sheets, toast the bread cubes for 15 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown. Transfer to a very large mixer bowl. Bone the chicken and very finely chop the meat, discarding the skin. (I do this in the food processor while chicken is still warm.) Add the chopped vegetables and chicken meat to the bread, along with the seasonings. Toss. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs; add the evaporated milk and broth. Pour over the bread mixture and blend. The mixture will be quite moist. Allow to stand 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350 F. Transfer the dressing to an oiled 3 quart glass casserole that is 10 inches in diameter and 3 inches deep (at this point, dressing can be frozen for future use; thaw before baking.) Bake dressing for 2 hours, or until the center of the dressing puffs up and is golden brown on top.

Does anyone know the recipe for Starbucks Summer Cobbler?
this is the best i could find

FAUX STARBUCKS SUMMER FRUIT COBBLER BARS

    CRUST:

    1 cup flour

    1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

    1/4 cup sugar

    FILLING:

3 cups fruit (I used 1 cup each of blackberries, blueberries and peach)

    1 1/2 tsp cornstarch

1/4 cup sugar (adjust as needed depending on sweetness of fruit)

    pinch salt

    1 tsp minced lemon zest

    BISCUIT LAYER:

    1 cup flour

    2 Tbsp sugar

    1 1/2 tsp baking powder

    1/4 tsp salt

    1/4 cup butter

    1/4 cup milk

    1 egg

    TOPPING:

1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

    6 Tbsp sugar

    1/4 tsp cinnamon

    pinch salt

    1/2 cup flour

    1/4 tsp vanilla

    Preheat oven to 350.

    CRUST:

Mix butter, sugar and flour with pastry blender until crumbly, and firmly press the mixture into a lightly greased 8-inch square pan.

Poke few times with fork and bake for 25 minutes or until barely golden.

    FILLING:

In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Stir in the fruit and zest until combined. Set aside.

    BISCUIT LAYER:

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Combine milk and egg and add all at once to dry ingredients, stirring just until moist.

    TOPPING:

Mix all ingredients with pastry blender until butter is in small pea-sized pieces and mixture begins to clump together.

    TO ASSEMBLE:

Increase oven temp to 400. Spread 2 cups of fruit over baked crust. Use spoon to dollop biscuit dough somewhat evenly over fruit. Top with remaining 1 cup of fruit and sprinkle with topping.

Bake 20 to 25 min until biscuits are done. Cool on rack as long as you can stand it, they taste best room temp, I thought.

Flapjack will use Oats, dried fruit and nuts.

Christmas Cake is a good one, nuts in the cake, make the apricots into Jam to stick the marzipan on with (use the ground almonds to make that).

    Porridge with nuts and apricots?

    3-4 tbsp Honey

    1 tsp Rue, finely chopped

    Pinch of Pepper

Mix all of the ingredients together thoroughly.

    Place into a saucepan.

Bring to the boil and cook gently for 15-20 minutes until slightly thickened.

Serve hot with exra honey drizzeld over.
Reply:you can mix grind the oatmeal to a powder and use it in place of flour to make some pancakes. Throw in some of those walnuts and maybe some chopped apples. Another swing on the pancake recipe is to use juice instead of water.

If those are dried apricots, you can make a plain biscotti dough and then add your chopped apricots and maybe some smashed brazil nuts. If the apricots are fresh, make some jam.

you can also make some fudge or brownies and add the nuts into them and top them off with the ground almonds.

What do you think of the name "Apricot " for a Girl!?

    it makes me wanna smile!!!

    name her apricot!!

What do you think of the name "Apricot " for a Girl!?
That's just as bad as Apple. Good luck and congrats!
Reply:I honestly don't like it. It would definately be a cute name for a pet, but not a girl. Sorry =( Do you like apricots or something?
Reply:why don't you just name them dixie peachy dot.
    Reply:NO
Reply:It's different, and different is good in my opinion. Everyone names their kids such common names usually. Nothing wrong with standing out.
Reply:Its silly. Try finding a name that the child will like having, not get made fun of for. If you are into fruit, how about Clementine?
Reply:What matters is that you like it and it really doesn't matter what other people think. Apricot is different, but sweet and a name that maybe no one else has. You sound like me I gave my kids different names ones I thought were different. Because I wanted them to feel special!
Reply:And her brother can be Celery.
Reply:I'm not sure. I am trying to imagine calling someone Apricot. It reminds me of fruit. Good luck!
Reply:That's like naming your daughter Apple or Coco. Let's hope that the child does not grow up to become overweight because she will be the butt of many jokes. Think about it.
Reply:Are you goin to name your son Tangerine?
Reply:I personally dont like it at all. It doesnt sound appealing and I think would lead to a lot of teasing in years to come.
Reply:no i dont think so its good...it wld be so pet-like. Make it Apricia if u want
Reply:"Apricot" is actually a very cute name, but it does make one think of Gwyneth Paltrow's baby, Apple. You wouldn't want people to think you were just copying a celebrity, would you? It sounds like it should be the name of a cute little girl in a cartoon or comic strip, but I'm not sure how much an adult would like going by that name.

It would probably lead to her getting teased at school (but then again, kids will always find something to tease about). What would you use as a nickname? You might want to establish something early on so she wouldn't be called "Ape" for short (that is certainly not so cute!). Perhaps "Appie" (with a short A) or "Ricky."
Reply:It's really cute, but I bet she'd get made fun of for her name, and might feel embarrassed by it once she grew up. I like it for a dog though.
    Reply:I don't like it.
Reply:???????????????????? You are not serious, are you?
Reply:well think to the future every body could be calling her names Like fruit just to let u know i love the name "Apricot" but think of her first
Reply:It's perfect- if you plan on raising a tiny, orange, furry fruit. . . . .
Reply:Great name for a fruit, bad name for a baby.
    Reply:It's hilarious - I laughed out loud.

It's up there with "Apple" - but slightly weirder.

Any kid called "Apricot" will get the hell teased out of them at school - and the teachers will secretly laugh at her name behind her back.
Reply:I doubt the girl would love it. But seeing as some actress, whose name I've forgotten named her girl Apple, I would think that people might make allowance for that name. Personally I wouldn't call any of my children Apple or Apricot.
Reply:no no no no no no not cute its sounds funny..... apricot?

    april maybe
Reply:I would not think about calling a girl "apricot", she would not be happy with it - don't forget, she has to bear it all her life and will have to hear a lot of jokes , especially in her school age. Kids are cruel and would not fail to mock her. I say NO to apricot.
Reply:Apricot??? as in the fruit im sooo sorry but dont do that to her!!!!! She will get bullied non stop even becalled fruit face or fruity or fruii...... u get my point but please im not even her and im begging you dont name her that i feelbad for the kid and dont even no her!!!
    Reply:April

No you are not naming her Apricot
Reply:Honestly I don't like it. It sounds like the type of name you'd name an animal....That's just my opinion though
Reply:Name is Desu, that is the most epic thing you could ever posibly name a child.

No, do not call her Apricot. She will be mocked forever.
