I just bought a st ives apricot scrub, has any1 tried it, if yes, does it work?

i use to use the st ives apricot scrub alot.

it is pretty good and lots of people swear by it for preventing breakouts and limiting them.

the problem that i found was that it upset my sensitive skin. it actually ended up making me have more outbreaks.

i know this might sound a bit crazy, but i've been using toothpaste as a facial scrub. most toothpastes of have a bit of grit into them that help to cleen your teeth, but not too much that it hurts your face or you get sand in your eyes. there is also something about the toothpaste that helps to dry up oils on your face. so its also great to put a bit of toothpaste on a blemish to help dry it up over night. another added benefit of the toothpaste is if you get a minty kind,.. its hard to describe.. you know that fresh, cool, tingly feeling you get in your mouth? you get it on your face and it is a GREAT way to wake up in the morning. it leaves you feeling very awake and refreshed.

i do it in the shower. i just use about half of what i use on my toothbrush, rub it into my hands, and then rub it on my face until it starts to cool and tingle and rinse it off. it might sometimes get into your eyes and your eyes feel cold when you try and open them, but it stops bothering them in about 30seconds or so.

i get the soft skin feeling of a scrub, the cool wake-me-up, and little to no breakouts.

it might sound totally strange, but i swear by it. give a toothpaste facial a try as well.

i also dont like how the st ives scrub leaves sand all over the place.. i usually save it though for scrubbing my body for extra smooth all over skin before a date night.

well i think it works differently on different skin types..but i have an oily t-zone face and sensitive face and it works really good 4 me..its not too strong and its natural ..plus it makes your complexion so glowy and pretty.. Report It
Reply:its not great... all apricot scrubs work to some extent (yes, there are many of them), but nothing beats a good moisturizer and sunscreen, plus drinking plenty of water to keep all your skin in good exfoliated health.
Reply:I've tried it, it feels very gritty, and it leaves your skin feeling very well scrubbed. As to how well it works, I would say that it makes you feel better, but probably cleans about the same as other cleansers
Reply:i bought that quite some time ago myself, I however did not like it at all. Left my WAY to dry and I would not reccommened it at all. I have Dove is way better on my skin and does a better job.
Reply:I've used it before. It works great. Although I've switched to honey and sugar because it's more afordable.
Reply:i use it and i like it , it does make your face feel and look better
Reply:That stuff came out about 28 years ago in USA. It's pretty great stuff!
Reply:Yes, I have; I give it 2 thumbs up. It effectively exfoliates dull and dead skin on my face, and reveals the soft, supple layer underneath. I have dry skin in some areas of my face, and I appreciate that this product moisturizes my skin as well. I not only use it on my face, but I take it a step further and use it on my elbows, heels, and underarms. Let me explain the underarms: Often times there is a nasty build-up of thick, waxy-like antiperspirant that seems resistant to the usual soap and water when I shower. I use the apricot scrub to thoroughly scrub that stubborn layer of deodorant away; leaving me with smoother and cleaner armpits. It is also an effective foot and elbow scrub.
Reply:It always makes my skin soft and my boy friend uses it on his hand because they get pretty messed up at work we both Love it.
Reply:i use that all the time! it does work, and keeps the skin soft viberant =D
Reply:I have been using it for about 4 years and it gives me outrageously smooth and clear skin. I rarely ever break out.
