How do you get matte-finished looking skin?

I'm 13, and I'm not allowed to use foundation.

The only make up I use is

Eyeliner, mascara, and chapstick (:



But my pores are huge around my nose and forehead area,

And my skin is oily in the same places, except on my chin too..

After I wash my face, it gets oily like 10 minutes later.

And I have no idea what causes

my pores to make little lumps on my face [From being big].

OR how to get rid of it.



I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub in the morning,

And the Proactiv 3 Step system at night.

[With the Refining Mask twice a week]



Now that it's almost time to go back to school,

I want to make a great first impression.

But with my shiny huge-pored face,

Even I get disgusted when I look in the mirror.



Please help?

dont over-dry ur skin coz the drier it is the more it tries to produce oil and the pores get bigger since they r over-worked with oil production.

after using a scrub u should always use mask to close up the pores. frequent use of scrub only can cause pore enlargement

apply mashed raw tomatoes on ur skin as mask 2-3 times a week. this will help to reduce the pore size.

use some loose powder or blotting paper on ur face whenever it gets shiny. this will absorb excess oil and make ur face have a matte look
Reply:Loreal Bare minerals - it is the best. It looks like dusty powder but the little brush is what applies it so good. it covers zits and more!! I have dark circles and splotchy tan that it covers well .one tip is not to use alot of moisturizer with this powder product. If you want to sample something less expensive but similar, try the "Jane"version of the bare mineral powder. I hope this helps - Good Luck sweetie! Reply:No to the scrub daily maybe why you have larger pores.



You need a gentle regime and start with using a shampoo for oily hair.. use a gentle face wash, toner and acne cream

a stridex pad for oil control

repeat at night - do the scrub twice a week if that much.

Do a deep cleaning mask - once a week (for oily skin)



AND - try the fyi line from arbonne it's for 13-22 year olds they make a great tinted moisturizer - cover blemishes and add spf moisture.
Reply:I use merle norman for all my makeup. Use there ultra powder foundation, leaves a very nice matte look! Been using it for 10 years!
