Has anyone ever tried St. Ives Apricot Blemish & Blackhead control scrub?

I'm 26 and started to get pimples and blackheads, never suffered with it before. ProActiv sucks, it just seemed to give me more pimples. I'm trying the St. Ives and Neutrogena blackhead eliminating foaming pads. Does anyone have any success stories? Or any advice?

Has anyone ever tried St. Ives Apricot Blemish %26amp; Blackhead control scrub?
well it is a great product. i also gave it to my bf to try out since he has blackhead and acne and have been noticing his complexion is getting better, (he is 18) a couple years ago when "proactiv" was all the rage I bought that for him as a birthday present tot ry out. of course...it didnt work...he used it for almost 3 months straight and followed the directions everytday and no results, same with some of his cousins. but i have seen that it has been working fo rhim a bit... (im talkign abitu st. ives) i also use st. ives but dont suffer from acne. i have always loved their products. neutrogena always dried out my skin when i was a young teen so i havent used it since. lol

my advice for the apricot scrub! a little goes a long way!

if that doesnt work for you in a few months (try out 3 of 4 months) and you dont see any results. then go see a dermatologist and see what they reccommend for you..

does acne run in your family? other family members get it in their 20's? if not maybe try changing your diet? thave you been eating alot of greasy unhealthy food lately? maybe also try chaning your diet while your at it.
Reply:St. Ives didn't work for me. Pro Activ made me break out at the first, but after continue use it really helped. I guess everybody's skin type is different so good luck to ya...
Reply:I use the Apricot scrub for sensitive skin followed by the hydroxy mask, both from St. Ives. I have had good success with both and get told all the time that I have great skin.
Reply:St. Ives Apricot Blemish %26amp; Blackhead control scrub are suitable for foot and hand as part of a routine professional manicure and pedicure good scrub highly recommended not for face because it is too rough gritty sand .. and risky for the eyes .Get a professional facial anyway recommended once a month.Face if got damage might cost you more than the price of a facial. There is always a person for the right job.Smile.
Reply:I have been using St. Ives products for years. The apricot scrub, the Blemish and Blackhead control scrub, as well as the facial wash. I also am currently using one that is a Clarifying pore facial wash.

I love all their products, my mom has been using them since I was a baby, and she introduced me to them when I was a pre-teen. I am now 24 and have great, clear skin and am acne free. :) Try it, you might be satisfied with the result.

Btw: The tiny granules in the scrub do not dry out my skin.
Reply:Yup...

I've used the scrub every other day for years.

I find it a bit too strong for my own skin for daily use.

I have clear skin, and always fresh... never dry looking.

I used to have terrible skin in high school, and that's when I started using it.

I love that now they have several formulas... rather than the standard pink one...
Reply:I honestly use the St. Ives Blackhead and Blemish face scrub. I use it twice a day, everyday. I am very weird when it comes to my face and will not go a night or day without washing it. I love St. Ives. In the morning, I use just the scrub. Then at night, before bed, I use the scrub again, followed by just the foam wash. I like to exfoliate. My face looks great and is nice and clear. I also use a product by Joey New York called "60 second blackhead and pore clearing gel". I use it three times a week on the same three days. It's a great product especially for shrinking those pores. I have tried every product out there. If it's new on the shelf, I try it, so if you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me!
Reply:Well, I used that [St. Ives Apricot Blemish %26amp; Blackhead control scrub] and it broke me out!!
Reply:i use st. ives. i really liked it at first and now i continue to use it because i don't want to see how my skin would look like if i stopped using it.
Reply:I've tried the St. Ives scrub and it left pits in my face that were visible in a certain light.
Reply:i used it, and it did absolutely nothing...but if it works for you, great, im jealous...
Reply:i used it..... it didnt work
Reply:I have bad acne, and I've tried a million products out there, so I know what I'm talking about.

St. Ives Blemish and Blackhead Control Scrub is ok for getting rid of acne, but the granules in it severely dry out your skin, and it make my skin actually start flaking. Plus, you have to use a massive amount just to get any salycylic acid (which is the ingredient that gets rid of pimples.)

I've never tried any foaming pads, because they gross me out, but my total magic product in getting rid of acne was Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. It works wonders, I'm telling you!

Also, you'll want to use an astringent daily, as soon as you get home from work. It helps combat the dirt from the day seeping into your pores. But make sure to get one without alchohol, which dries out your skin. Personally, my favorite one is Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil-Controlling Astringent.

Good luck, and Merry Christmas!
Reply:yes, it actually works for me, ive been using it for like a year now an d ive noticed great improvements on my face.i really love it, i think all the st.ives products are great.
Reply:no sorry but tell me if it works
Reply:i've always used st. ives and it makes my skin look and feel great.
Reply:how long were you using proactive? it is actually meant to give you more pimples b/c when it deep cleans it brong all the bad oils in your face to the surface, causing more pimples to appear on the surface after a week or 2 ((once all the oils are out of your face)) it will start clearing up

ps. clearasil ultra face scrub works amazingly too!!!
