What is a good "getting rid of acne" invention?

I have a little acne and blackheads that I wanna get rid of, but all of the things that i use don't help and sometimes make it worse. Is there something that I can mix up at home that works better than over the counter stuff or is there an over the counter thing that actually works? I use an apricot scrub that is medicated, buit it almost seems like the scrub is bad for your skin and tears it up worse than taking off the dead skin cells and dirt. Any advice would be obliged ΓΌ

Lava Soap
Reply:I had acne too and the thing that worked best for me was (surprise surprise) not using any of those products. Instead, ddrinking a lot of water cleanses your skin and body, and eating healthy food with a lot of antioxidants will also cleanse your skin. Trust me, it really works to cut sugar and switch healthy! I used to use proactive and it didn't work for me. When my doctor put me on a diet for hormonal control (because I have the symptoms of syndrome x), I started eating much healthier and my acne completely vanished. But everyone's skin types are different so it may not work the same for you. It doesn't help to try, though, right?
Reply:tea tree oil- stop using the scrub except maybe once a week. just use a soap free cleanser and put tea tree oil on the acne. you can use tea tree oil face collections from the body shop- check my site www.thebodyshopathome.com/web/wgodwin
Reply:A Lot Of Water And Eating/Drinking Antioxidants. Vitamin B

3 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder. Apply to your face like a mask, but massage in circular motion. Rinse off.

Reply:Proactive really worked for me.
Reply:PROACTIV REALLY WORKS
Reply:The first thing is that it takes 2-3 months for your skin to adjust to a product, so constantly switching further irritates your skin. I use Target's version of Aveeno Daily Facial Scrub, it's not harsh but does a good job at exfoliating. Also, I used Proactiv for a while, it worked really well, but was just too expensive for me to keep using. Just be careful how often you're switching because it does cause adverse skin reactions.
Reply:its called proactive. i have it and it works really well. Celebrities also use it!
Reply:You have to attack acne where it starts, with your diet. For me, diet was the cause and solution. Topical medications fight the symptoms. Start by eliminating trans fats and eating more fruits and vegetables. Once you start cleaning up the inside of your body, by eating properly, the outside of your body (your skin) will be get cleaned up too. I started a website to document my problem and solution.

You might find it helpful to read my story. Just remember to eat an all natural/organic diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from processed foods. Use mild, all natural cleansers and don't pick at your face. Get lots of sleep and enough water for your body weight. Remember, clean body = clean skin. While you're waiting for your skin to clear, remind yourself that acne is a challenge that you will overcome soon. Once you're rid of it, tell all your friends how you did it. That's what I'm doing. God Bless.

Reply:well proactive works for me. the clean and clear stuff works for me too. if you want a homeade mix then do a google search.

hope this helps!!
Reply:proactive!!
Reply:I suggest you to go for natural one; others definitely have side effects. A good face pack of neem leaves with a pinch of turmeric is very good for acne prone skin. More home remedies available at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
Reply:I have been using Zenmed products for about 2 months and I noticed a considerable decline in the amount of acne present on my body. This is the only product that I can see working. I finally found a product that actually worked on my skin. Cheers…
