One more St. Ives Apricot Scrub Question ! LOL?

well yea i also purchased the neutrogena oil free stuff and i washed my face with the apricot scrub (blackhead and blimishes) like an hour ago and i was wondering if it was ok to wash my face with the apricot scrub ounce a week and the neutrogena oil free stuff everyday would that help??

would i see results quicker and would i have less acne??

Yes, that's perfectly fine. Face scrubs are meant to be used once a week; they're too harsh for everyday use as they can scrub away dead skin as well as healthy skin. Using oil-free face wash on a daily basis is good idea for a person who wants to clear up their acne. Just make sure you don't overdry out your skin because this will cause your oil glands to secrete MORE oil to make up for the moisture loss. And more oil secretion leads to more breakouts. I would suggest washing your face twice a day, once in the morning, and once before bed. If the facewash leaves your skin feeling too tight and dry, switch to another brand that's less harsh.



Also make sure to follow these skin-clearing tips:



1.) Stay hydrated. Carry a water bottle with you wherever you go so you don't risk dehydration. Drink water with your meals and eat foods with a high-water content, such as fruits and vegetables.



2.) Do not touch your face unless you just washed your hands with soap and water. The last thing you need is to add more bacteria into your skin!



3.) Switch your pillow case every few days. This will prevent oil and bacteria that builds up on the surface of your pillowcase from clogging your pores and causing breakouts. The same goes for towels that you use to dry your face after washing it.

Reply:It's perfectly fine. I have the sensitive version of the scrub and use it 1-2/week while using a regular oil-free cleanser twice a day. I also like the Aveeno daily exfloliate, if you have dry/flaky skin, give it a try - the beads are a lot smaller and you can use it everyday.

Reply:Your skin will dry out if you use it more than once every two days. Find something lighter for inbetween.
