How long does homemade jelly stay good for?

Ok so my dad made homemade jalepeno jelly and also some apricot jelly and he sent some home with me.. it has never been opened or refridgerated and was made almost a year ago can someone tell me the shelf life?

Usually you can keep it for up to a year, that is if it is unopened and kept at room temperature. If you are freezing it, then most of the time you can keep it for up to 10 years. We can jellies and jams all the time. We grow blackberries in our backyard.

Reply:Mine stays for about 5 days. If you keep it too long the water will appear. Just soak it with a paper towel and eat the rest. No one will ever know unless they read this...
