How do you make regular (not instant!) Quaker oatmeal in the microwave?

I bought the jumbo size of regular Quaker oatmeal at Costco, and the box it came in, which had the microwave directions, water/oatmeal ratios, etc. got thrown away (there are two huge bags of oatmeal inside).

I already went through the quakeroatmeal.com web site. No luck there unless I want to make a vat of Honey Maple Apricot Baked Vanilla Oatmeal somethin' somethin'

The water-oatmeal ratio just depends on how thick you want your oatmeal to be, and that differs from person to person. I say, fill your bowl like how you fill your cereal bowl. If you want it thick, just pour water up to slightly above the level of the oatmeal. If you want it watery, just pour water a bit higher than the "thick" level. I can't be exact but this is just common sense, I guess. Just experiment until you get the consistency you like.
Reply:You can also cook with oatmeal in other ways -- by adding it to whatever dish you're making, i.e., you can increase the texture and thicken up a stir-fry. Report It
Reply:START WITH HOT WATER. then lcup hot water, l/2 cup oatmeal. cook l-2 minutes, depending on microwave.
Reply:it's the same, one serving, 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup of oats, combine, microwave on high 1 1/2 -2 minutes...
