I can help you! I made my daughter's baby food. It is really easy. There are books you can get from the library such as "Blender Baby Food" by Nicole Young.

Or go to

wholesomebabyfood.com

They have tons of recipes and instructions on how to do it. They also have a sister site with toddler food for when baby gets older. The baby food custards actually don't have any nutritional value and shouldn't be fed to a baby (especially a 4 month old). Hope you find great recipes on the site!

Reply:Sticking to the healthiest reciepe for a 4mo. old is sticking with the Gerber products accordingly to your babies age. They have all the necessary vitiams and such...for your child. To give your baby something foriegn to it's system could be dangerous simply because it might not except the intake given, and cause illness. Gerber knows what is best for your baby at any age(The first years).
Reply:TONS of recipes on the internet for homemade babyfood. The easiest thing is to cook/steam veggies and then put them in a food processor until smooth (add water) and then freeze in ice cube trays.
Reply:My son's pediatrician said to wait until he was at least 6 months before even giving rice cereal.
Reply:Sweet potatoes! I am hearing that giving baby a white rice cereal is not nutricious and causes them to have carb cravings when they're older. Try brown rice made with a little too much water. bananas, avocados, creamed spinach are good choices...
Reply:Look up on google or in a store. Isn't there gurbur's solid food trays?
Reply:it may be too early for 4-month-old baby to take solid food but my baby had his first solid food at this age. he loved mashed carrot and mashed banana. you can try it too...

and

continue breastfeeding.
Reply:4 months is too early to start solids. It's not recommended that they are exclusively breastfed for 6 months for optimum life-long health. And then breastfed with the slow introduction of foods throughout the second year.
