my sister said that i shouldn't be using st ives apricot scrub everyday..................and im kinda wondering if u could help me........ :(
Can i use safeguard and st ives apricot scrub twice a week to remove acne????
Sure. Just don't forget to moisturize!
Reply:Your sister is right in that St.Ives scrub can be a bit harsh for everyday use. It is an exfoliant which is good, as it removes dirt and dead skin cells that can lead to blocked pores and acne if not removed. But it would be best to use it just twice a week and wash with a gentle natural soap or cleanser in between, as too much scrubbing and exfoliating of the skin can actually irritate and lead to more acne and redness.
Reply:Your best bet is to make an appointment to see a dermatologist. You do not say how far spread the acne is. Using off the counter solutions is not a wise solution.
Reply:Yeah... using the apricot scrub everyday could irritate and dry out your skin. It could also be kind of painful if you have acne! Moisturize with an oil-free moisturizer after washing your face. And if your skin starts flaking, hurting in anyway, turning red or feels tight you need to use the scrub less often and moisturize more- even if you have acne.
Hope this helps!
Reply:I think you should narrow it down to once a week and use a daily cleansing face wash. Also 2 of my friends use pro-active which worked really well for them (but that's if you acne is really bad).
