Visibly even by Neutrogena and Apricot scrub by St.Ives?

I just bought visibly even moisturizer by Neurogena, and an apricot scrub by St.Ives. Has anyone seen results with these? I have pale-ish skin with some red blochy areas on my cheeks... and I am hoping the moisturizer will help...

Thanks!

St.Ives Apricot Scrub is possibly the worst thing for your skin. The abrasive walnut shells in it have jagged edges which can actually leave miscroscopic tears in your skin. When I tried this scub, it severely irritated my skin and caused me to break out, which I am still recovering from. Try something with synthetic exfoliators, such as micro-beads. It's much better for your skin.
Reply:The apricot scrub is really good but don't use it at this moment because it will just irritate your skin even more, your cheeks are gonna hurt really bad. Instead, I know it's gonna sound weird but put vicks vapor rub on your cheeks it's going to help your cheeks, think of it like when you use vaseline on your chapped lips.
Reply:Oh no! Don't use that St. Ives stuff on your face! It is too harsh for us pale skin types! (It is great to use when you shave your bikini line though as it keeps away razor burn!) Anyway, the St. Ives will irritate your skin and make it even more red. Find another exfoliant that won't rub your skin raw.
Reply:If you look closely at the st ives scrub, it has little brown chips of bark or splinter like brown pieces in it. That will tear your face up. If you want to exfoliate, get the scrubs with the little beads, so it's softer on you face but still does the job.
Reply:I've been told by many that the Apricot scrub cuts up the skin (you wouldn't be able to see it) because the crystals are too large, so it isn't very good to use. I've personally used the Apricot Scrub and it made my skin smooth, but I still had dry spots on my face.

Try using an aspirin mask for a scrub instead. Take a few uncoated aspirins in a small bowl, add a little water, smash up the aspirin (or you can smash them up THEN put water it) until it creates a paste. Then you can either put it all over your face and leave it on for a few minutes to use as a mask, or for a scrub just scrub your whole face in a circular motion.
Reply:Your probably have Rosacea hun....scrubs are going to make it worse. MOst creams will make it worse too.

Are you european or asian decent?

Does your skin get really red when your hot, drink alcs... and stay like that for a while?
Reply:if you have sensitive skin then dont use the apricot scrub it'll just irritate it, use a chemical exfoliant instead ( toners). Moisturizer is a must!
Reply:the acne prone skin apricot scrub did wonders for me.... there's my 2 cents
Reply:I have sensitive pinkish skin and I use St.Ives every other day.It works amazing on me.
Reply:I saw great results with St. Ives. Made my skin feel smooth and clean! Didn't really help with acne, though.
