Note:- no Quackwatch followers/Sheep need answer.

Whole Apricot Kernels Or Crushed?
You cannot have cured cancer in your dog with apricot kernels, it simply is not possible; if this was tried under the care of a veterinarian, his/her license should be revoked; if you diagnosed %26amp; tried to treat cancer in a dog yourself, you need to be barred from keeping animals.
Reply:An apricot kernel (Prunus armeniaca, "Armenian plum" in Latin) refers to the kernel of a species of Prunus, classified with the plum in the subgenus Prunus. It is commonly known for containing amygdalin, which is sometimes called "vitamin B17", but is not regarded by the scientific community as a vitamin since it does not meet the widely accepted scientific definition of a vitamin – it has not been proven to be essential to achieving or maintaining good health.[1] Amygdalin was once thought to help prevent cancer by attacking cancer cells, but clinical studies related to laetrile, as discussed in the amygdalin article, were unsuccessful. A review of the clinical evidence was published in 2006 with the conclusion "Therefore, the claim that laetrile has beneficial effects for cancer patients is not supported by sound clinical data."[2]
Reply:You can't treat cancer with anything other than meds. This is a mistaken diagnosis. My husband died a year ago from prostate cancer and while I managed to keep him alive for over 10 years with a healthy low fat, high fibre diet which gave him a low cholesterol, nothing cures it. Sorry, but you are talking a load of rubbish. If all it took to cure cancer was a few nuts, we'd all be eating them whole as I am pretty good at swallowing stuff and so are other people.
Reply:Apricot kernels wont cure cancer but they might help prevent it as well as Brazil nuts and fresh fruit and veg. Its all the antioxidants that are in fruit, veg and nuts that help and a healthy lifestyle that counts not a last minute cure.
