I've just eaten an apricot....?
well first you have to dry it out , my father kept them in a bag and layed them in the sun... after it dries plant it then water it get garden soil and mulch in the hole before you plant it...then put the mulch then after it comes out of the ground put mulch around the plant. pull the apracots off when they are fresh it is good for the tree so more fruit will grow...enjoy! PS it also depends on where you live too if its cold it wont grow... you dont want it to be too hot either...)
Reply:Probably not. What you can do is get a bunch of them, crack the shells to get to the "nut" inside. Put the nuts on a baking sheet with some butter and salt, roast them and eat them! Very tasty!
Reply:You know it just might work!
Reply:You could try it, but probably not.

Most apricots and other fruits are grown from hybridized varieties that are transplanted onto rootstock.

It may germinate, but end up nothing like the apricot that you ate.
Reply:depends where you live. if you live in a cold place with infertile soil then no. but if you live somewhere warm with plush soil. you'll be eating apricots in a few years. i planted an avocado seed 6 months ago. not very large though
Reply:sure , but it will take years before you even see any thing.
Reply:cool
Reply:I don't think so, but you could always try it
Reply:Not likely.
