Does the St.Ives Apricot Scrub burn anyone else's face?

I used it like once and it kinda burns like hell...so did it burn for you?

Does the St.Ives Apricot Scrub burn anyone else's face?
It burns a lot of faces. I get visitors to my site all the time from search phrases like, "salicylic acid chemical burn", "facial chemical burn relief", "acne product facial burn". Every day, every single day. So I have a mask for burn relief on every page of my site.

Yes, salicylic acid is an acid that causes burns. It's that simple. You probably have more sensitive nerve endings than some people.

If you want a mask to relieve the burn, just click my picture and there is an oatmeal and honey mask that will help reduce the redness and pain from the chemical burn.

ADDED:

After reading other posts you might want to know that products that contain salicylic acid do *cause* break-outs.

Effects of Salicylates on organ systems, "Mild chronic salicylate intoxication (salicylism) causes skin eruptions."

You might want to avoid everything that contains salicylic acid.
Reply:nope. i have oily skin so it works for me.

maybe you are applying to much OR you are rubbing to hard.

you have to gently scrub your face.

but if it does burn, dont use it cause you are just irritating your skin.
Reply:No I use it daily...but you might have sensitive skin so maybe try the sensitive skin one...
Reply:Heck no, I use it all the time and it never burns my skin. Maybe you just have sensitive skin?
Reply:Use the St. Ives Apricot Scrub for sensitive skin once or maybe two times a week if your skin is sensitive.
Reply:yes it does and it irritates your skin

don't even bother using that thing

use a more gentle scrub like the one from neutrogena

it comes in a blue tube i'm not sure what else to recommend
Reply:that's weird, i love apricot scrub and it always leave my skin super smooth and soft. maybe you allergic to some of the ingredients they use?
Reply:it burned mine and lleft blisters :( OUCH!!
Reply:Yes, and it is full of toxic chemicals. Don't use it. Throw it away. Get an all natural product without heavy abrasives and corrosive chemicals.
Reply:It didn't burn, but it sure did break me out.
Reply:I may have made a mistake when using this, but when I applied the scrub at first, it felt very nice, but after a few seconds, my jawline began to burn. I thought, "oh, it's just doing its job". well, I was wrong. After I rinsed the scrub off my skin, my skin felt as if it was on fire. I immediately put aloe vera on my jawline, but my skin was literally burnt. My skin was VERY dry and VERY sensitive for the next two weeks
Reply:It did burn for me too, even the one for sensitive skin.
Reply:No burn for me. You must have really sensitive skin!
Reply:try the one for sensitive skin!
Reply:Nope I use it a few times a week and LOVE it
