homemade remedy to clear acne for a lifetime:
Things You’ll Need:
All natural facial soap, as pure as you can get it.
Baking Soda
Water
Benzoyl Peroxide, any strenth
Facial Mask, green clay type
Clean dry towel
Wash your skin lightly with an all-natural bar soap. I use Dr. Bronners Lavender bar soap. Be careful not to scrub your skin. All you need to do is to create a nice lather all over and rinse well with clean water.
While your skin is still wet, pour about 2 Tbsp. of Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) into your hand. Add to it just enough water to make a paste. Apply the paste all over your face and light work it around your face in circular motions for about 1 minute. Be careful not to press to hard, just use light circular motions. Rinse well with clean water.
Dry your skin by patting it lightly with a towel. Apply the Benzoyl Peroxide ONLY to the active acne spots. Allow to dry and then dab a little mud mask only on the spots. Leave on overnight.
You will gradually reduce the use of Benzoyl Peroxide as your skin clears until you do not use it at all. The Baking Soda works very quickly.
Can I use St Ives Apricot Scrub everyday?Does it prevent acne and blemishes?
You can use it everyday if you like. It is an exfoliant so it is not nessasary more than once or twice a week to remove dead skin.
I do not think it treats acne. In fact too much exfoliant can irratate and spread acne you already have.
I would recommend washing your face twice a day with whatever you like and after that each time apply tea tree oil. This will treat and prevent acne! I have been using it for about 3 months and I don't have anymore! You will see results after a week for sure. Then they stop coming. Tea Tree is an antiseptic so it kills germs on your face. You can get it at a health food store.
Reply:According to my dermatologist scrub should only be used once a week. it will make your pores big if you do that everyday. plus they are rough girl. our face are sensitive. No they do not prevent acne at all. they just clean the dead skin on your face. better use oat and milk soap a day its better it prevents acne and blemishes makes your skin smooth.
Reply:I agree with the rest... exfoliator is NOT to be used everyday. Cos our skin is very delicate... . It does unclog some blackheads and impurities. Not sure about the effects of this brand thou' nv tried before. Try a good cleanser.... I strongly recommend Missha (korean brand). H20 series, its very thorough yet gentle on the skin.
Reply:I am not sure but some info that may help;
I started getting a few spots and so started wahing my face regulaly, the spots got worse and looked like acne. One day I saw on TV that it can be bad to wash your face too often and so stopped completely. My spots are now far beter and i just have a few! I would reccomend trying this.
Reply:well first off you don't need to use a scrub every day its bad for your skin, about once a week is great! 2ed st. Ives is a VERY harsh scrub and really is not good for your skin. try to find a more gentle scrub and just try to keep your face clear oil and bacteria! hope i helped
Reply:It will to begin with but then your body will become dependent on it and if you then stop using it, you will become more spotty and have more acne than you had before you started using it...
Reply:exfoliating/scrubbing face should only be done ONCE a week.. otherwise you'll be scraping off the skin's natural moisture... doing it right can control blemishes because it will get rid of dead skin cells, excess dirt and oils that clog your pores.
Reply:it is a exfoliating scrub so i would suggest using only once or twice a week...use a gentler cleanser for the remainder of the week...good luck
Reply:Try isopropyl alcohol and a bit of moisturizer (one with no fragrances etc.)
Reply:No, it does not prevent them.. But it takes some away, NOT ALL THOUGH!
