It depends on whether it has the silvering gene or not. If it does it will start to get lighter as it reaches maturity. If not then it will stay pretty much they same colour until it begins to go grey with age. To get an idea of how your poodle will turn out have a look at its parents/grandparents. There is no DNA test for the silvering gene at present.
When a apricot poodle gets older does it get lighter or darker?
They lighten with age.
