Does anyone here have a most terrible experience using St. Ives Apricot Scrub?

For about a month, I tried St. Ives Apricot Scrub since a friend advice me to use it. I’m in no doubt agreed that it smells really good…. But I feel like it worsens my skin. I had pimples coming out more than I had before and it feels really itchy. But it is effective though in removing blackheads.. I just don’t advice people to use it on pimples.

I breakout every so often and I use this product but I do not find a correlation between the two. However when my boyfriend uses it on his face it causes it to break out..
Reply:its an exfoliant so if it's causing you to break out, chances are that it's too harsh for your skin. you can try using the version for sensitive skin or a different brand.
Reply:I use St Ives Apricot Scrub to exfoliate the dry skin off my legs, I've also used it on my elbows and heels. It works great on my body

I never tried it on my face.

For my face I use Proactiv and LOVE IT !!!!

Reply:because the scrub part of the product chafes off skin it is actually doing more harm for you than good. if you have pimples cleanse your skin with a cream like noxzema then apply any of the products that cause the pimples to dry up clearasil is very good
Reply:yes, i tried using that facial scrub but i got pimples instead so stopped using it, try loreal facial wash purifying gel it really works and it does clean the face.
Reply:i had a allergic reaction to it once since then ive stopped. doesnt help removing blackheads unless ur a very regular user. and ya i did get pimples to after a day or two. use the medicated version much better
Reply:Always been ok for me - but I moisturise like crazy afterwards
