As stated in an earlier question... I am making a pork roast right now with an apricot preserves as a glaze.
Its a really thick piece of meat so i dont think that little surface glaze is going to give it all the apricot flavor i want..
anyone have an idea for how to make a sauce to accompany it with the remaining preserves? For example.. what other ingredients to add and if i should cook it etc.
THanks!
Apricot sauce for pork- help!?
APRICOT GLAZE
1 jar Simply Fruit apricot spreadable fruit by Smuckers
1 thin slice lemon with peel, chopped
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
Combine in a small saucepan. Heat on medium, stirring constantly. For a thin glaze reduce cornstarch.
or try this one too.
APRICOT GLAZED
1/2 - 3/4 of jar of apricot preserves
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 small bottle of Russian dressing
meat of your choice (chicken or pork)
Mix ingredients and heat in saucepan
Reply:I make a meatball dish with half BBQ sauce and half apricot preserve. That would be really tasty heated up with some sauteed onions.
