Will St. Ives apricot scrub help with my acne and oily skin?
If you are prone to acne I would avoid The St. Ives scrub. The apricot particles in it can be very hard on sensitive skin and can cause even more breakouts. I would recommend using a gentler scrub and treating the pimples you have with a toner with tea tree oil in it which will act as an antiseptic and hopefully help heal your skin.
Reply:Be careful that you don't over cleanse because it could make the problem worse. Use a product like Cetaphil that is mild %26amp; for sensitive skin...and then put on an oil-free moisturizer.
Reply:I would not recomend it for everyday use because scrubs get rid of oils and if used everyday will destroy your skin layers.

Instead to help control acne buy a 3 step system (walgreens sells a great one for around 12$) use the wash from the system at night and buy a diffrent brand wash (that uses the same active ingediant) in the morning

As for oil, use an anti-shine moisturizer in the morning (clean and clear, biore) and bring blotting sheets in your purse (sally hansen, victoria secret)

Hope this helped!
Reply:definetly. but no more than twice a week, mmkay?
Reply:It will but if you use it too much it can stimulate your oil glands and produce more oil. The cleanser you can use everyday and hopefully it will help. If your skin is very bad you may need something with benzoyl peroxide in it.
Reply:it might help a little, but if you want something to really stop your acne you should get something specially suited for acne and your skin type. you want to be careful if you have oily skin because some products just make it worse. Hope that helps :)
