I JUST ATE A APRICOT, and i want to grow the seeds into a plant????

from A-Z how do I grow a apricot tree from an apricot that I just ate?

what is the best time of the year to do so?

if it is not a good time of year, then can I grow it indoors and then transplant next year??

like I said A-Z??

honestly the best way is to plant the whole apricot - the fruit is used by the seed as energy to start the growing process. The best time is probably May thru August - you could probably get away with April

keep soil moist and keep in half to full sun

you can put clear plasic over during the first inch or two of growth - after that remove plastic - the plastic helps keep the moisture in and ups the humidity.

Good luck - you can still get the apricot to grow with just the seed - you just won't get as many good starts if you tried growing say a dozen of them.
Reply:Prunus spp. Latin name

When to plant: Sow seeds in august after a period of stratification. Seeds must be stratified. Can be done in a refrigerator. For about 4 months.
