What is the most desired color for a poodle?

Out of black, grey, brown, apricot, white, red, parti-colored, and so on, what is generally considered the most desirable? Between black and apricot, which would you pick?

What is the most desired color for a poodle?
everyone loves a party!!
Reply:Black!!! apricots are cute but as other people said when they start getting old the stains under there eyes show more.
Reply:Personally i love the red standard poodles, close clipped not styled tho.
Reply:black
Reply:don't lose your poodle's dignity leave it the same color as it is.
Reply:i've read that red poodles have more behaviour problems, I would go with black, light poodles get dark stains under thier eyes.
Reply:Black so that the eye stain does not show.
Reply:i like grey colour.........if between black and apricot i would go with black..............
Reply:Black is the most common color of Poodles. But I am torn between the red-apricot colors which I am very partial to. It is important to realize with all poodles that color will often change. Some breeders may not inform people of this fact. There are reputable Breeders working hard at eliminating what is sometimes called, "the fading gene." Understanding this truth about color will help prepare you when you pick your puppy based on a particular color. The color of the pup you take home at eight weeks may fade or even perhaps darken (not usually) over time.

No breeder can or should guarantee color unless they are breeding true blacks to true blacks and whites to whites. It is impossible to make any sure guarantees with the other colors. Many people are misled or misinformed and then disheartened as they see the color of their puppy change.
Reply:if i were to have a poodle I'd have to say ....... black
Reply:Neither white is the most desired and sells the best
Reply:I like the apricot myself, but remember, buying a black puppy does not mean it will be black. Chances are it will turn grey. Check the puppy and make sure it is jet black with no other color, not even 1 hair of white, and it would be good to check the blood-lines. This goes for the apricot also. If it is a apricot as a pup, chances are it will be white. If you want a apricot make sure you get a pup that is a very dark shade, closer to like an orange kitten in color. This color of pup should turn to be a lovely apricot.

I hope this help you, I don't want you to be disappointed a year later when the true color shows up.

Reply:There is no correct answer to this. It's just a matter of opinion. I don't choose animals based on color.
Reply:In the show ring there should be no preference. Black and Tan (phantom) is not accepted, nor are white markings. In requests from puppy seekers white and apricot.
