Yellow betta w. apricot betta?

Well I have a golden-yellow male betta, and I want to breed him, so I got the closest female I could get to his color, she's a very light orange color- she almost appears offwhite- and then her tail is a dark appricot color. What will the babies look like?

Aw... they'll look like their father! But some will look a little mixed between mom and dad.
Reply:depends on their ancestry. the gene that produces the yellows is the desired red-loss gene, so colours of fry may change as they age. you may get reds, especially in the first generation. in following generations you may get more yellows or oranges.

betta genetics are complicated

Reply:If they're from a pet store, the colors will most likely be completely random. Breeding a few more generations of the 'best' colors from the spawns will produce more and more of the colors you want.
Reply:Some of the babies will be a mixed colors, but most will look like their father.
Reply:it does not matter they are born with a lot of colors
