Dont use the apricot scrub on your face. An esthetician told e it can damage the top layer of skin. Its too abrasive.
Reply:My recommendation for over the counter products:

You must read the active ingredients labeling on the back or these recommendations are useless.

Clean and Clear products with Benzoyl peroxide. Use in the shower and towel off with a white towel because this cream can bleach colored towels.

Neutrogena face wash with Salicylic acid.

St. Ives products can be much too irritating and cause more acne than it prevents.

If you still get breakouts after 2 months, it would be best to see your dermatologist so that they can start you on a retinoid product like Differin or Retin-A. Or oral meds like doxycycline. Good luck.
Reply:use the Neutrogena oil eliminating cleanser that's the best one for acne skin trust me I am using it right now and it's going away!
Reply:i dont know, but i use the apricot scrub in the shower and it works really good for controlling acne
Reply:I had terrible results from the St Ives face wash you are describing. It broke my skin a little. Too harsh. The best face wash known to man is DDF Blemish foaming cleanser and you can get it at www.sephora.com. It is $28, but will last for a LONG time, and you won't be wasting money buying junk from Walgreens that doesn't work. If you have oily/acne prone skin, get a FOAMING cleanser with salicylic acid if you can't find DDF. Those milky/creamy cleansers by St Ives, and other brands will break you out even more.
