Do you remove the skin off apricots before eating them?

Apricots have a fuzzy skin--are you supposed to remove them prior to eating or can they just be eaten? I'm trying apricots for the first time.

Just eat them with the skins on. Wash them first. The skin has a lot of fiber and vitamins and minerals in it. It may tickle your tongue a little at first, but you'll get used to it. Enjoy your newly found fruit!
Reply:nope
Reply:eat as they are - the fibre is in the skin
Reply:nope leave the skin on !
Reply:Uh, no... I haven't seen anyone do that. Plus, you'd be getting rid of a lot of the fibre and precious vitamins!
Reply:Never heard of anyone removing skin off apricots, eat them as they are, or cooked.
Reply:never heard of peeling them, even when processing for canning, so go ahead and enjoy...hope they're as good as my Grandmother's tree used to be!!! YUM!
Reply:Nope, just wash and eat.
Reply:Some people don't like the fuzzy skin, but I love the way it feels on my tongue. It is very edible. In fact, I've heard that on any given fruit or vegetable, much of the vitamins are in the peeling, but I'm not sure if it is true or not.
Reply:i dont.. i love it.
