1.is st. ives apricot scrub good? 2. can i use it on acne prone skin?
Well,in my experience of using st.Ives for the past 3 years,I will say that is one of the most effective product ever.It works very well as an exfoliant giving a glowing, fresh look after use.It works well on zits as well.
Reply:it does work good! i use it dailuy, afterward i wash with a cleanser by aveno daily cleaner whihc brightens my skin. If you have acne marks use merdma for scars and it should hepp clear it up.
Reply:yes its really good. it smells yummy too. it works on acne skin and helps exfoliate too

xxxxx
Reply:I've been using this for a few years, and I LOVE it....

1) Yes, very. 8-}

2) I have super-sensitive, super-acne-prone skin, and it hasn't made it worse for me; actually, I find that my breakouts get a lot better when I've been using it regularly -- at least three times a week. But you might want to start out only once or twice a week, and see how you react. That's how I started using it, and because I didn't have a reaction, I was able to use it more often.

3) You know what ... I've never thought to look. 8-} To lighten up my zit scars, I use AcneFree Scar Fade %26amp; Erase (it's a little expensive, a little greasy, and a little smelly ... but it works, so I don't ask too many questions).
Reply:while it smells, feels and looks good on your skin, it actually causes micro-tears in your skin because the scrub is too hard. it doesn't lighten zit marks but let me recommend something that solves past, present and future acne problems.

I have super oily skin on my T-zone and I have zit marks on my cheek. These products solved my problems. I used to use apricot scrub but it wasn't enough, i still had to use toner. And then I had my skin checkup and they told me I had open pores that will continue to be a problem. So i started using Nu Skin Clear Action and within 2 months, my zits and scars from when i was 12 started to disappear. YM me for more questions :)
Reply:I swear by the St. Ives scrub and use it daily for face and body. There is a medicated type for acne, but any of the St. Ives apricot scrubs are fantastic. It's the best brand of exfoliator on the market. If your skin is sensitive, there's also one that is less abrasive.

I don't think it lightens marks but you could use a skin lightener or lemon for that.
Reply:1. yes, i have loved st. ives for years, it was the first scrub i ever used.

2. it is good for acne prone skin because it is supposedly all natural, and i don't think it has any added oils, which are bad for your skin, also the scrub itself isn't too harsh or course, which can damage your skin instead of helping it.

3. any exfoliation can lighten up zit marks because you are sloughing off dead skin cells and encouraging circulation which causes new skin cells to grow.

all in all, i think that st. ive's works great, not to sound too much like a commercial. just remember to be careful with exfoliation. you want to exfoliate only once or twice a week even when broken out, because otherwise you can desensitize, or agrivate your skin and that could cause you to break out more. i really hope this helps answer your question...healthy skin to you buddy.
Reply:i love this product. they have them for different skin types too. definitely helps the acne, exfoliates, and also smells good
Reply:1. Yes. It gets things really clean.

2. Yes, as long as you have no open sores (popped, open zits)

3. I doubt it does 100% get rid of them. There isn't much that does. But, it does help even things out.

Try using an astringent after the apricot scrub (they're about $1 at Walmart), and then definitely use a good lotion after that.
Reply:I used st. ives apricot scrub several years ago, but it was too harsh for my sensitive skin. I use cetaphil liquid cleanser on my face for general cleansing and for a facial scrub, one can mix a bit of baking soda with the cetaphil and use that. It's more gentle to me than st. ives scrub. (And I got the tip from Paula Begoun's book 'Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me' where she gives her reviews on various cosmetics and skin care products. It's a fun read :) And I believe that one is only supposed to use a facial scrub 1-2 x a week as opposed to daily use which can be way too harsh on the skin.
Reply:I use it and absolutely love it! Just be careful you don't get any in your eyes. I got some in mine once and it burned so badly, I had to wind up going to the eye doctor and getting special drops.
Reply:i have been using st ives for 15 years and would never use anything different. if i don't use it for a couple of days my skin just feels awful. between using the apricot scrub and lotion with spf everyday, my skin has never really had any problems.
