My bearded dragon threw up after eating cut-up dried apricots and is lethargic. Is she in trouble?

I have put her in a lukewarm shallow bath and she did wake up long enough to drink. Should I try to repeat this every so often so that she doesn't get dehydrated? I am afraid the cuts I gave her were maybe too big...she is an adult beardie. Any suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks.

maybe they dried her out, try fresh fruit next time, and make her drink some water. also check the cage is warm, lizards and snakes get really lazy when the temp starts to cool down.
Reply:If she threw up bring her to a reptile vet....especially that she seems to be very weak. If you dont know any ring an animal charity near you and they will know. Its better to be safe than sorry. You should bath her at least once a week normally to keep her hydrated and relaxed. There are loads of great sites on the Internet about what to and not to feed beardies so check it out before you feed them anything and don't just rely on one site, its best to check a few to make sure the information is accurate. Good luck.
Reply:bearded dragons can become paralyzed by eating food thats too big for them. never feed anything thats bigger than 3/4 the width of their head.

also, it could be chemicals in the fruit. in which case you're good, just do daily soaks to increase water uptake, and maybe some natural sunlight would do her some good.
Reply:call the vets and see if they are able to tolerate dried apricots, as l know they have a huge amount of sulphar in them, also with anything dried / dehydrated they swell up in the stomach and can make you bloated, also make you poop?! every had a stomach ache from eating dried apricots? could be this also
Reply:Beardeds have a tendency to choke, I would call the vet and see what they say.
