ANYONE who has ever used St. Ives Apricot Scurb!! (for blemish prone skin)?

hi guys. i just started using st. ives apricot scrub for blemishes and blackheads, but its only made my skin worse. and tomorrow i go back to school. is this just how the product works? does it eventually start working? how long?

anybody know the exact, or somewhat close, details on this stuff?

ANYONE who has ever used St. Ives Apricot Scurb!! (for blemish prone skin)?
Yes, it does. I'm using it right now.

I took me about a week to see really good results. You can't just use the scrub. I don't know why people only buy the scrub....

The most important thing is establishing the habit. You have to clean your face every day. If you miss one, you might break out again. :/
Reply:ive used that stuff alot. but i use a daily cleanser like noxima or clearsel (im not sure if im spelling those right) then i use harsh scrubs like twice a week. if you use that stuff too much it will make your face break out more. i have really dry and oily skin and it does that to me even.. try something new..
Reply:Scrubbing your skin with that can be verryyy damaging.

I used to have really bad skin..but I went to my dermatologist and he gave me this really good stuff to use...it's Neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser. It doubles as a makeup remover as well! It's hypoallergenic, and real gentle on the skin!

Don't be discouraged..EVERYONE gets breakouts..it takes time to get rid of them, but just be patient and remember to use it EVERY day!

Reply:no, i used to use it whenever i took a shower in the morning. i noticed that my skin was always clearer before i took a shower. so i stopped using that face wash and the whole line of products. now i use some olay stuff and my face is doing much better
Reply:It didn't work for me ethir

It's really rough

not really for your face

try neutrogena anti stress something

it's sweet

:)
Reply:Well...it's a scrub...you would probably only want to use a scrub like that once or twice a week. Otherwise, it might be too harsh and damaging. Good luck with your battle against blemishes!!!
Reply:that made my skin worse too...but i have some things that worked for me...and they are all afforable for anyone who is on a budget...

mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good constancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. these two things are very inexpenisve and it's very easy to do since there is only two ingerdients. toothpaste is good also (for some people). put only a little bit before you good to sleep. some people use this as a mask but don't do it! it can change your skin tone and make your face discolored. aloe vera helps scars lighten and less noticable. use the gel or the real thing. try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not to hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. the use cold water at the end to close you pores. the smaller your pores are, the less likely you're prone to pimples. an egg yoke is good also. i used this when i had pimples. just take the egg yoke (the yellow part) and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water and then splash your face with cold water. keep your hair out of your face because the oils in your hair could go into your pores. change you sheets because they're are trapped with dirt, oils, etc. zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. you can buy these almost about any large store (such as walmart or shaws.) have one tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. clearasil, neutrogena, and proactive are good choices to start. don't use body soaps because they dry out your skin. don't scrub too hard either, because it can irritate your skin. tea tree oil helps alot, and it can help scars heal faster.
Reply:I didn't see too much of a difference, except that after awhile my skin got less acne prone, but it is very harsh. Try Clinique's 3 step !
Reply:Ouch, that stuff is harsh! I used that stuff at one time and it messed up my skin! I would stop using it and try something that doesn't have the walnut shell powder in it. Those granules scratch your face and with combo of salycylic acid, it really dries out your skin or worse, could cause an allergic reaction. How is it making your skin worse? Are you breaking out more? Is your skin getting scaley or dry? I would suggest using that product on your body instead of your face and switch to either Cetephil or Neutrogena.
Reply:Are you using the regular kind or the medicated kind? If you already have some bumps, you need to use the medicated type but only 3 times a week. It is an exfoliant, so go easy. WHen you dont use that, use a different type of cleanser with salycilic acid in it to fight the acne. It may just be bringing all the goop out of your pores for now. Cut back from daily use, but keep it up.
