Do I need a pot with holes in the bottom?
I have a branch from my apricot tree and have soaked it in water and it has taken root....?
A large pot with holes in the bottom. Maybe you can get a biodegradable one so you can plant it in the ground when it gets big enough. Then you can just plant the whole pot and not disturb the roots.
Reply:yes it should do fine in a pot! try using that kind of potting soil that says it feeds for up to so many months, like miracle grow potting soil! that way it can be sure and get the nutrients that it needs ! also try using a miracle grow solution when you water it! i am a firm belever in miracle grow!it makes plants and trees grow wonderful!and huge!
Reply:ASK YOUR NURSERY!!
Reply:A tree will definitly out grow its pot. I would say yes. The holes will actually let you know when the roots are ready for a little more room. You dont want the tree becoming root bound.
